Sherwood Pines - Downhill Routes, Dirt Jumps and the Red
George couldn't ride so I met up with Alan and G at Sherwood Pines, Nottinghamshire. We set out with a couple of min-shredders and rode a tiny bit of the off-piste, the green, the 'downhill' section in the middle, and then I tackled the red.
Although the video seems not to show it, stoke was high and the day was a great laugh! Thanks to all!

Sherwood Pines Blue Cycle Route Video 2015
This video shows another one of our visits to Sherwood Pines Forest Park. On this occasion it was just myself and Sarah. We rode the Green cycle path while walking Doogie, then took a spin around the Blue route however this guide concentrates on just the Blue route to hopefully show potential visitors what it is like.

You will find us in the East Midlands to the east of Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, U.K. We are a long established heathland course alongside the pines, silver birch and oak trees of Clipstone Woods within the legendary Sherwood Forest.
We are very proud of our reputation as one of the oldest and finest heathland golf courses in Great Britain and are currently rated 95th best in the British Isles and 47th in England. The course was intially designed by Harry Colt and subsequently enhanced by James Braid.
The English Golf Union, when staging the 2006 England Boy’s Amateur Stroke Play Championships, described Sherwood Forest Golf Club as being 'in a league of its own'. As a premier course the club has hosted many national competitions over the years, including the 'British and English Seniors' and regional qualifying for the 'Open Championship'.

Sherwood Forest and the Major Oak
The Major Oak is a large English Oak (Quercus robur) near the village of Edwinstowe in the midst of Sherwood Forest, Nottinghamshire, England. According to local folklore, it was Robin Hood's shelter where he and his merry men slept. It weighs an estimated 23 tons, has a girth of 33 feet (10 metres), a canopy of 92 feet (28 metres), and is about 800–1000 years old.
