Shikanoshima Island 志賀島 is an island in Higashi-ku, Fukuoka, Japan. The greatest point of this island is definitely the marvelous ocean! Located just at the shoe of the Hakata Bay, Shikanoshima Island is connected to the Kyushu mainland by sandbank.
The island is known as the spot where the Gold Seal of the King of Na, a national treasure, was discovered. The island is about 11 kilometres.
On the hill that commands a view of Hakata Bay, two farmers found the golden seal in 1784. The area was developed into a park to commemorate the discovery, and designated Kin-in Park. According to Chinese chronicles, about 2,000 years ago, the Emperor Guangwu of Han, a dynasty of ancient China, granted an envoy from Japan a golden block seal, which was to be presented to the envoy's king. The seal was engraved with the characters 漢委奴国王.
From the mainland, the sandbank provides easy access by car, railway and bus (via Umi-no-nakamichi), and ferries from Hakata Futo. It is an ideal destination for a short trip to explore the abundance of nature, beautiful scenery as well as some historic sites of old shrines and stone monuments.

Fukuoka 福岡 is Kyushu's largest and one of Japan's ten most populated cities.
Chūō-ku 中央区 is one of the seven wards of Fukuoka city in Japan. The ward is located in the center of the city.
It includes Tenjin and Daimyō which are among the largest downtown areas in Kyūshū, Nagahama, which is known for its fish market, Fukuoka Yafuoku! Dome and Ōhori Park.
Because of its closeness to the Asian mainland (closer to Seoul than to Tokyo), Fukuoka has been an important harbor city for many centuries.
Fukuoka hosts more than 2 million foreign visitors annually, with the majority coming from neighboring South Korea and China.

Shikanoshima - Small Island located just at the shoe of the Hakata Bay
Shikanoshima Island, actually connected to Hakata by a land bridge, enjoys great accessibility including a roughly 30-minute ride on the Municipal Ferry from Hakata Warf, or a roughly 40-minute ride by car or on the Nishitetsu Bus from Tenjin in the city center. We recommend touring the island by rental bicycle due to the 12 kilometer circumference and the relative lack of ups and downs along the route. Come and feel the refreshing breeze on your face as you enjoy a lovely holiday away from the hustle of everyday life.

Nokonoshima Island, Fukuoka City ???? のこのしまアイランドパーク ???? Japan As It Truly Is
Nokonoshima is one of Fukuoka's great hidden treasures - an island in the middle of Hakata Bay that offers camping, nature walks, and many varieties of flowers all year long. It's only a 10 minute ferry ride from Kyushu and if the weather is good is a great way to spend an afternoon. The Nokonoshima Island Park offers a beautiful garden all year long, and the island has great hiking, swimming, and camping.
Some of the flowers you can see blooming there:
Spring - daffodils, plum blossoms, cherry blossoms, poppies, rape blossoms, daisies, azaleas.
Summer - hydrangea, dahlias, crape myrtle, coral trees
Autumn - cosmos, dahlias, coral trees
Winter - Sasanqua, Japanese narcissus, camellia

Glover Garden グラバー園 is a park in Nagasaki, Japan built for Thomas Blake Glover, a Scottish merchant who contributed to the modernization of Japan in shipbuilding, coal mining, and other fields. In it stands the Glover Residence, the oldest Western style house surviving in Japan and Nagasaki's foremost tourist attraction.
It is located on the Minamiyamate hillside overlooking Nagasaki harbor. It was built by Hidenoshin Koyama of Amakusa island and completed in 1863. It has been designated as an Important Cultural Asset. As the house and its surroundings are reminiscent of Puccini's opera, it is also known as the Madame Butterfly House. Statues of Puccini and diva Miura Tamaki, famed for her role as Cio-Cio-san, stand in the park near the house. This house was also the venue of Glover's meetings with rebel samurai particularly from the Chōshū and Satsuma domains.
Commanding a stunning view of Nagasaki Harbour from its position on top of the hill of Minami-Yamate, this romantic area retains the atmosphere of a foreign settlement.

Located at the tip of a cape, this hotel offers fantastic, unbroken views of the ocean and Aoshima coastline and features naturally flowing hot springs in large public baths. At the Aoshima Cinqmale there are also a private onsen that guests can book for 1 hour slots. The views from the restaurant are stunning. Enjoy and relax at Cinq male Hotel in Miyazaki. Let's Go to Shikanoshima!! (一緒に志賀島へ行きましょう！！）
Hey all! Welcome back! Today, we're going fishing, skimboarding, and and swimming on Fukuoka's beautiful Shikanoshima beach!!
It's about a 30 minute drive outside of Fukuoka City Center by car, and it's incredibly scenic, and reminds me of highway 1 in the US actually. We had so much from, from fishing for Horse Mackerel, Skimboarding with locals, playing Cricket on the beach and just enjoying the sunset.

Hi everyone, I'm back with another travel vlog – this time from Hakata-Jima (Hakata Island) in Japan, where my grandma lives! This was a very special trip and video to edit, because I rarely get to see my grandma, and this is also the island where my dad grew up throughout his childhood. Coming back here is always such a treat.
I hope you enjoy! Hakata-Jima is a lesser-known spot in Japan but it's so underrated! There is actually a lot you can do, and since it's part of a string of islands in the Ehime Prefecture, it's so easy to drive across to the other islands nearby via the bridges. My parents met up with me in Hakata-Jima, and we drove around to Imabari and Matsuyama, which are two other cities on the islands.

Nichinan-kaigan Coast, located in the southern part of Miyazaki Prefecture, is the southernmost saw-toothed coastline in Japan, extending about 100 kilometers from Aoshima Island to Cape Toi. In addition to Devil's washboard 鬼の洗濯板, which spreads around Aoshima Island, and Udo Shrine, there are scenic spots dotted here and there.
