Star Wars Visions art exhibit at the Shizuoka City Museum of Art
After visiting the Shizuoka Hobby Square (in my previous video:
), I visited the Star Wars Visions art exhibit! Of course I was unable to record or take photos inside the exhibit, but here is a look at all the neat stuff for sale in the lobby. Plenty of items that are a marriage of Star Wars and traditional Japanese crafts!

A collection of approximately 380 works connected with the area, including paintings by artists who have stayed in Yugawara is on display here. The exhibits change every 3 months. There is also the adjacent Reiji Hiramatsu Hall, displaying the works of the leading contemporary Japanese artist, Reiji Hiramatsu. In the Japanese garden by the museum, water lilies sent from the Claude Monet Foundation can be seen (during June - August).

Outside the Bandai Hobby Center in Shizuoka City
Today I stopped by the Bandai Hobby Center to take this quick video. This is Bandai's plastic model factory! Tours are available only once or twice a month, but you must sign up in advance on their website, and a lottery is drawn to determine who is lucky to take a tour. One of these days, I'd love to go inside!
The reason I took this video is that I am working on eventually making a video showcasing the company buildings and offices of all the major plastic model companies of Japan.

15 Things to Do Near Tokyo, Japan - Visiting Yamanashi, Shizuoka & Kanagawa Prefectures
Some of my favorite adventures I had during my 12-day trip to Japan were the ones I had just outside of Tokyo in the Yamanashi, Shizuoka, and Kanagawa Prefectures, and I want to share them with you in this guide to things you can do near Tokyo, Japan!

-Yamanashi Prefectural Maglev Exhibition Center – Tsuru City, Yamanashi Prefecture
This is the only facility in Japan where you can get an up-close look at the Maglev, a high-speed train that travels at speeds up to 500 kilometers per hour!
-Fuji-Q Highland Amusement Park – Fujiyoshida, Yamanashi Prefecture
This amusement park is known around the world for its fast and steep roller coasters, which are a blast to ride! It’s a fun outing for the whole family!
-La Vista Fuji Hotel & Spa – Yamanashi Prefecture
This stunning hotel, spa, and onsen boasts some of the most spectacular views of Mount Fuji in Japan, as well as a great breakfast buffet and mind-blowing late-night ramen!

This fantastic open-air museum is home to over a thousand works of art by artists including Pablo Picasso. Check out their five exhibition halls, children’s areas, and more!
-Hakone Kowakidani Onsen Mizunooto – Kanagawa Prefecture

First Time in Teshima-Japan Travel Vlog
Teshima is well known as a one of the islands hosting Setouchi Triennale, which is a contemporary art festival held every three years in Setouchi (Seto Island Sea). This festival is featured by many foreign papers including NY Times as “52 Places to Go in 2019”.
(
I went to Teshima in the begging of December, which was already off season of the festival though, of course visited art museums and enjoyed the staying.
It is not allowed to either take photographs or videos inside the museum but more than art festival side, Teshima has got attractivenesses of something, the air, the water, the food, the scenery, and the people, more basic elements that human need.
It’s only half an hour from Takahamatsu city by a ferry. Unexpected, calming and a quality experience might be waiting for you.
