Had a blast participating in Nancy's Siam Rice Thai Cookery School.
Siam Rice Cooking School Review- Chiang Mai
Siam Rice is one of the best cooking classes in Chiang Mai! We had an amazing time with Pot...until he asked me how much I loved my eyebrows! ;P He taught us how to make authentic pad kee mao and khao soi from scratch. I actually walked away feeling as if I could recreate the dish at home! #cookingclasschiangmai #bestcookingclasschiangmai #chiangmaicookingclass
As always thank you so much for watching!

About Us!
If you had told me a year ago that we were going to sell all of our stuff to start backpacking the world, I would have called you a liar. Decisions like the one we made start with an inflection point. A point where you realize that life can never be the same anymore. After a challenging, and painful year in 2017, we decided we needed to go out and live the life we wanted to live, instead of watching it on someone else’s YouTube Channel. We had given everything we had, physically and emotionally, for other’s dreams and were ready to work that hard for ourselves. From rock bottom, Chase for Adventure was born.
The Chase Begins
We moved in with our parents, sold everything we own including our cars, and paid off $70,000 worth of debt. We worked 70hrs/week over the last year trying to save up $15,000 to make our dreams come true. Now, we are travel journalists who showcase the beauty in different cultures and inspire others to chase their dreams through our YouTube Channel and website Chase for Adventure. We want to show others that if they want something bad enough, they’ll figure out how to get it; show people who are struggling that they can make the light at the end of their tunnel. Chase for Adventure is more than just a travel vlog and blog; it’s the chronicles of what it’s like to have a dream and do whatever it takes to attain it.

Making Drunken Noodles! - Siam Rice Thai Cookery School
Making Drunken Noodles is not for the faint at heart. Heat the oil in the wok until it begins to heat. Add a little water and the result? An explosive flame that the cook must bear through in order to cook the noodles in the intense heat.
Watch how the magic of Drunken Noodles is performed by a couple of amateurs at the Siam Rice Thai Cookery School in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

The BEST Chiang Mai Cooking Class! Learning and Laughing at Thai Cookery School
Over the last few weeks, we got to try 5 different cooking schools in Chiang Mai so that we could tell you the best one! Out of all of the great cooking schools we went to, Thai Cookery School was by far the best!
We literally just left Thai Cookery School in Chiang Mai and the experience was incredible! We did a half day class which involved cooking a Thai clear soup, Veggie Springs Rolls, Red Curry with Duck, and Ginger Chicken Stirfry. Our teacher, Garnet was as informative as she was hilarious. There wasn’t a moment during the class where we weren’t laughing or making a joke. She makes you feel at home, welcome, and like you’ve known her for years. I was genuinely sad to leave. The class provides you with water, tea, and coffee and has soft drinks and beer for sale at a very reasonable price (50 Baht for a can). The format was as follows:
Learn how to carve garnishes. We made a rose out of a tomato peel and a transparent leaf out of a carrot.
After we did the garnishes, we worked on the clear soup. It was easy, fast, and delicious. We first go into a mini auditorium style room where she shows us the ingredients and shows her cooking the meal first. We taste the one she makes so that we can try and match it, or tailor it to our own tastes. The room we learn in is in the AC, which is a nice contrast to the outside cooking we do.
After watching her, we grab our ingredients and head outside to try it ourselves! Something I really loved about this class was how it caters to different dietary needs. There was a person in our group that was allergic to fish and shell fish and Garnet was able to find a substitute for the fish sauces, oyster sauce, and shrimp paste. Out of all of the dishes we cooked, the curry was my favorite!
I eat primary vegetarian and she was able to sub all of the meat in my dishes for Tofu and extra vegetables.
After you’re done cooking each meal, you go to the main table with all of your classmates and enjoy the food you just made with great conversation. Often times in shock that we made food this good with our bare hands. All of the recipes were simple enough to know I can confidently recreate them at home, while being equally delicious!
If there is one thing I would do differently is get the full day class. Also a nice surprise was the beautiful cook book we received at the end of class. I’m going to be honest, I was just expecting a print out of the recipes, but the book looks like something I would buy at a book store or buy as a souvenir for friends!
As always thank you so much for watching!

#Thailand 71 태국음식 직접 만드는 치앙마이 타이 쿠커리 스쿨 (Chiang Mai Thai Cookery School)

Chapter 11: Look Ma, I Can Cook Thai Food (Chiang Mai, Thailand)
It only took 4 hours after landing in Chiang Mai to look up a cooking school to take a class with. Somewhat like Koh Tao, Chiang Mai is absolutely chockful of cooking schools that you could go to and whip up some delicious Thai fare.
