We went on a Friday morning and found it very peaceful and family-friendly.
Bring a change of clothes just in case your kids get mucky on the beach!
Leave the bucket and spade at home—the sand is not so good for making sand castles.
None of the three playgrounds are shaded, so be sure to bring sun hats and sunscreen.
There is some shade on the beach in the form of wooden gazebos and umbrellas. However if you go at busy times such as a weekend afternoon, take your own shade, as you may have trouble finding a spot.
Fancy a BBQ on the beach? Bring your own charcoal and grill up on one of the brick BBQ facilities.
Fancy a spot of fishing? Cast your line off the short causeway, which extends into the sea behind the mangroves.
Make a day of it and visit the beautifully green and well-equipped family park situated right next to the beach. You could also visit Old Simaisma Mosque—one of the oldest mosques in Qatar—situated right on the beach.

Driving directions
Take the Al Khor Rd out of Doha.
Approximately 10 min north of the Lusail International Race Circuit, take a right turn at the first major junction—the Simaisma Overpass.
Follow the road straight for 2.5 km.
You will see a fairly large village in front of you—this is Simaisma.
Go straight at the first and second roundabout.
Drive in the direction of the sea and turn left into the car park at the beach.

Never mind the summer hot.... but we had a very chilling time in Simaisima... totally a very fresh day refreshed us well while we been around Simaisim. Spent a lot of time in Simaisima Olympic Park and Family Park, A deep breath dive in the beach not pretty bad. Very Clean Simaisima Olympic Park really gave us a nice perk...

#QatarSportsDay, is one out of eight national holidays in the country, this normally celebrated on every 2nd Tuesday of February.
As its a widest national holiday, many people go cheer themselves through widely arranged fun-filled games and sporty activities around the country, but still some others get to enjoy as a standard weekends if they aren't not a big fan of sports and it's kind of activities.
#Simaisma beach, is located through Qatar's Shamal Highway, Exit 29. A waveless calm beach with clear water, there're many with their own self-built tents considerably families and friends were grouped to have fun time, even we show many #BBQ machines on fire!
But we played #Beach #Football! And, then roamed around culturally themed mosque there.

The beach extends for 7km, with a separate gate for women that is constantly monitored to prevent any males from entering.
“Simaisma Beach is very clean and its location between Doha and the northern regions is an advantage. The second phase of the beach will be opened soon, and this phase includes the opening of restaurants and cafeterias to serve visitors, as well as a school to teach horseback riding, which will make the place more diverse,” he added.
There is also a plan to further develop recreational services for the public, in line with plans to increase the number of tourist facilities.
