Ульяновск памятник Хо Ши Мину | Ulyanovsk Ho Chi Minh monument
В июне 2017 года в Ульяновске установили памятник Хо Ши Мину
Монумент возвели в Засвияжском районе Ульяновска на улице, названной в честь первого президента Вьетнама.
Инициатива установки памятника принадлежит вьетнамской провинции Нге Ан – родине Хо Ши Мина.
Статую политика в полный рост отлили из бронзы в Тольятти по проекту ульяновского скульптора Олега Клюева.
Высота статуи – 5 метров, постамента – 3,5 метра.
Вся стоимость проекта составляет более 36 млн рублей,
это средства провинции Нге Ан, вьетнамских предпринимателей в РФ,
а также Ассоциации вьетнамских граждан в России.
Кроме обычных фонарей установлены ночные светильники с изображением драконов.
In May 2017 in Ulyanovsk, a monument to Ho Chi Minh was erected
The monument was erected in the Zasviyazhsky district of Ulyanovsk on a street named after the first president of Vietnam.
The initiative to install the monument belongs to the Vietnamese province of Nge An, the homeland of Ho Chi Minh.
The full-length statue of the politician was cast from bronze in Togliatti according to the project of the Ulyanovsk sculptor Oleg Klyuev.
The height of the statue is 5 meters, the pedestal is 3.5 meters.
The total cost of the project is more than 36 million rubles,

Here I present an album of photographs of the city of Simbirsk taken between 1866 and 1913.
Simbirsk was the birthplace of Vladimir Lenin and the city changed its name to Ulyanovsk in 1924.
During the Soviet period, Ulyanovsk lost much of its historical heritage - all traces of the Cathedral and churches are gone and only a few 19th century buildings remain.
Also during the Soviet period, Ulyanovsk was an important tourist centre, drawing visitors from around the country because of its revolutionary importance and a visit to the home of Lenin was a must. When I visited a few years back, I found the city dreary and uninspiring..........

The Museum Home of Vladimir Lenin in Ulyanovsk (with English Subtitles)
Guided video tour of the house of Vladimir Lenin in Russia.
Founded as Simbirsk on the banks of the river Sviyaga, a tributary of the Volga, in 1648 as the fort which meant to protect the eastern frontier of the Russian Empire from the nomadic tribes and to establish a permanent Imperial presence in the area, the city was renamed Ulyanovsk in 1924 in honor of Vladimir Ulyanov, better known as Lenin, who was born in Simbirsk in 1870.
Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov, the Russian politician, Communist revolutionary and political theorist. Lenin was born into a wealthy well educated middle-class family. His father was the Director of Public Schools in Simbirsk district (which nowadays can be associated with a position of a Secretary of Education) overseeing the foundation of over 450 schools as a part of the government's plans for modernisation. Lenin's mother had relatively prosperous background and was the daughter of a German–Swedish woman and a Russian Jewish physician who served the royal family.
This video presents the first half of the official guide tour of the House where Vladimir Lenin spent his childhood from the age of 8 until his graduation from Simbirsk school gimnasia when he decided to study law at Kazan University at the age of 17. It will give you a fascinating insight on the life of one of the most famous figures of Russian history.

Россия, ноябрь 2017 года. Город Ульяновск/исторически Симбирск/ - моя Родина. Места, где прошло мое детство. В центре города - красивый сквер. Знакомьтесь - муза истории Клио. Памятник посвящен русскому историку Карамзину, который родился в Симбирской Губернии. Карамзин написал большой и знаменитый на весь мир труд История Государства Российского. Место для памятника показал лично император Николай 1-ый. Установлен был в 1844 году. Маленькой девочкой я часто гуляла в этом сквере, а потом ходила в школу. Приятного просмотра!
