I was lucky enough to be invited to take a tour of Simian Mountain near Jiangjin in Chongqing, China. Follow along as Patrick and I explore the mountain, the waterfalls, and the beautiful lakes.
China's Highest Single Drop Waterfall Attracts Many During May Day Holiday
Covered by luxuriant forests and decorated with splendid waterfalls, the natural scenic area of Simian Mountain in southwest China's Chongqing Municipality attracted throngs of tourists during the Labor Day holiday.
Located in Jiangjin County, the Simian Mountain has an area of more than 20,000 hectares, more than 90 percent of which is covered with forest. It is listed as a National Eco-Tourism Demonstration Area.
The Wangxiangtai (Terrace of Nostalgia) Waterfall is a major scenic spot in the Simian Mountain area. With a height of 158 meters and a width of 48 meters, it is honored as the highest single drop waterfall in China.
The air is so fresh that it's relaxing to visit here, said a Chinese visitor.
Besides the Wangxiangtai Waterfall, the Honghai Lake and Pearl Lake are also hot tourist attractions at the Simian Mountain. Endless streams of tourists and vehicles can be seen there.
During the Labor Day holiday, the number of tourists to Simian Mountain increased by over three times compared with usual visitor volume.

3/16 晩上十一㸃左右上世紀遊輪，朝天門11號碼頭。3/17到花開院子嚐麻辣鍋，辣到難以想像，而且嗆，只好把辣椒挑掉，才能正常用鴛鴦鍋的另一鍋食用。3/17啓航，由重慶下水向東，到宜昌後，過閘，抵達終點武漢市。重慶市發展迅猛，令人驚訝！兩岸大樓看不完丶遊輪已過霓虹景。
