Sipadan Freediving & Scuba | Incredible Dive Site In Malaysia
Freediving and scuba diving from around Sipadan Island in Malaysia. Sipadan is regarded as one of the top dive sites in the world, with huge schools of fish, amazing corals and the chance of seeing large pelagic species.
We were lucky enough to visit Sipadan four times during our trip and although we were unlucky and didn't see much in the blue it was still an incredible experience.
The footage is from Barracuda Point, South Point, Hanging Gardens, Drop Off, Coral Gardens and West Ridge dive sites.

Wonderful Diving in Sipadan Island 2015
Sipadan is the only oceanic island in Malaysia, rising 600 metres from the seabed. It is located in the Celebes Sea off the east coast of Sabah, East Malaysia. Sipadan Island was at the top of Rodale's Scuba Diving Magazine Gold List for 'The Top Dive Destination in the World'. More than 3,000 species of fish and hundreds of coral species have been classified in this ecosystem.

A quick getaway to east Sabah. Mostly diving but also a short visit to some beautiful islands in the region.
Apologies as I ended up bringing the wrong GoPro case. Which pretty much meant that I couldn't get clear macro shots of the tinier creatures.

Sipadan Island Scuba Diving Trip (Sabah, Malaysia)
Day3 video of our Jan-2019 scuba diving trip to Mataking Island (Sabah, Malaysia). On this day, we took a 1.5hrs boat trip to the famed Sipadan Island for a day of diving.
Sipadan is consistently ranked as one of the top dive sites in the world. It is famed for its population of turtles, schools of barracuda in tornado-like formations and plenty of bumphead parrotfish. Around the island, there are steep walls, with drop-offs of ~700m. So if you drop anything here, you can say goodbye to it. A permit is required for visit, with a daily limit of 120 divers allowed.
