Скадарска улица, дужине око 500 метара, је у најстрожем центру Београда. Због близине Народног позоришта крајем 19. и почетком 20. века многи глумци су ту становали. Уз глумце су наравно дошли и други уметници, песници, писци, сликари и други.
Познато је да глумци (вероватно због треме) не једу ништа пре представе и прилика да се нешто презалогаји, а и попије је управо после представе када, падне тензија и већ се ближи поноћ. Због тога су у Скадарлији никле многе кафане, неке од најстаријих у Београду.
Ту су зоре дочекивали уметници који су ушли у историју српске културе... Ђура Јакшић, Добрица Милутиновић...
Скадарлија је била, слабо осветљена, поплочана калдрмом, како је то био обичај у турско доба и тај старински начин задржан је и данас само је простор између камења заливен бетоном.

We visited Belgrade, the capital of Serbia, among what we discovered during our trip, we were marked by this beautiful quarter, skadarlija: the bohemian street, there ,where 3 good reasons to live meet, music, food and love.

Best Restaurants in Belgrade Serbia! Ambar, Tri Šešira and more!
We went to Belgrade for a couple of days and were able to (re)visit some incredible restaurants with amazing food!
Ambar is definitely our favourite as their food is very modern, tasty and genius. The portions are not as big as in usual Serbian restaurants but this way you can try out several dishes. We highly recommend the Ambar train as you get to taste the whole menu unless you say stop :)
The service is the best and they are very knowledgable about all the dishes. Special thanks to Novica who recognised Dani even after one year and he even remembered what Dani ordered during his first stay! You're the BEST, Novica!
By the way Ambar was number 6 in Tripadvisor's ranking last year and in March 2017 they were already second place!!! You guys deserve it!
If you go to Belgrade then visiting Skadarlija and Tri Šešira is a must, and I bet all the restaurants there are amazing too. Tri Miloš' Sword at Tri Šešira and you can never go wrong with the famous Cevapi!
We could go on and on reporting about the amazing restaurants and food in Belgrade. If you find the time to visit, go for it! The people are very friendly too and there are some amazing places to hang out, especially during the summer time.

Reservations: 066 00 24 00 Tavern Tri šešira is definitely one of the oldest taverns (kafanas) in the bohemian quarter of Skadarlija. Opened in 1864. in a house that previously served as a craft workshop, and its trademark were three brass hat, hence the tavern name - Three hats. When the famous Belgrade tavern Dardaneli was demolished in 1901., Belgrade nightlife moved to the street of Skadarlija, especially to the Tri šešira.
Many of Belgrade's most famous writer and artists have spent a fair share of their days in this tavern. Skadarlija witnessed some great artwork being created in the past. Restaurant Tri šešira had the pleasure of welcoming some famous historical figures, like Djura Jaksic, Branislav Nusic, Cica Ilija Stanojevic, Tin Ujevic and many others. Nowadays we welcomed some well known public figures including Juan Carlos I, George Bush, Willy Brandt…
‘’Three Hats” is a true pearl among the restaurants of Skadarlija. It was built in the heart of Skadarska street and remains in a recognizable ambience for more than 150 years. It was opened in 1864 in a building where a craft workshop which had three pleated hats as a logo was previously located. That’s how the restaurant got its name. The restaurant is known for its service and quality even outside the borders of our country. It had the honor to host some of the most eminent domestic and international figures: King Juan Carlos, George Bush, Pertini, Willie Brant, and others. Many testimonies of the pleasant stay in the restaurant are stored in the guestbook.
