Sky Valley is a city in Rabun County, Georgia, United States and is nestled in a mountain valley on the northwest slopes of Rabun Bald, Georgia's second-highest peak. Incorporated in 1978, it recorded a total population of 250, as of the 2000 census. Since 1971, it is home to Sky Valley Resort , which features golfing, tennis and swimming. The resort formerly had the only winter ski area in Georgia, but after changing ownership in 2004, the resort's ski slopes were permanently closed. The only highway or other through-road is the Dillard/Highlands Road between Dillard, Georgia and Highlands, North Carolina. The northern city limit is the North Carolina state line, where the highway zigzags, crossing in five different places .

Dillard House Restaurant, Gary J on the Goldwing

The Dillard Restaurant has many other attractions and motels. It is one of Georgia's finest restaurants. They serve Southern food at it's highest quality. It has a beautiful mountain scenery from it windows and a beautiful interior. Located on Hwy 441 close to the N.C. state line.

Sky Valley Adventure

My brother and his girlfriend had a road trip from FL to Georgia. They spent lots of time visiting much beauty in the SC and NC.They saw many waterfalls and enjoyed tons of beautiful scenery. Sarah's family enjoyed these unforgettable moments with them. I'm happy they were able to share these adventures through the lens of my GoPro.

My sister and I rent a farm house in Dillard Georgia for vacation

Georgia Sky to Summit 50K/8.5 Miler - Sky Valley, Georgia - Nov. 7, 2015

20+ miles of untouched single track, 20+ water falls (including the 120 ft Holcomb Creek falls and 80 ft Ammon Falls), 2 summits of Rabun Bald (the 2nd highest point in Ga at over 4,700 ft!), 2 x 360 degree views of mountains in 3 different states, 15 small bridge crossings, a couple of water crossings (one of which is thigh deep), and just more fun and scenic beauty that you could ask for. Oh and did we mention that it's got over 14,000 ft of elevation change?

This gem of a 50k starts and finishes in Sky Valley, Georgia. Sky Valley is the highest city in Georgia at 3,100 ft. We have also named Sky Valley as the Mountain Running capital of Georgia for its plethora of trails within walking distance from the city. It was home to the Sky Valley Ski Resort which has since closed. This time of year brings the fall colors out that really pop off the reflection of the lakes. If this isn't the most scenic run you have done then you never picked your head up during the race!

Cleveland Georgia Gateway to the Mountains

Cleveland is the town you go through to get to the Northeast Georgia Mountains. It is the next Great Town of Northeast Georgia. A Bypass is presently being built around the town and is in Phase I of 3 phases. Cleveland will now have a opportunity to developed the downtown into a town for nice restaurants, upscale shopping, and a destination point with hotels and more.
