Highest jump in the United States @ 18,000 feet with a view to the Pacific Ocean. During my landing which was off the Drop Zone I encountered turbulance and had an uncontrolled landing where I broke my ankle and needed surgery to insert 8 Titanium Screws and a Titanium Plate in my right ankle...Out of commission for about 6 months before I jump again!

Tandem Skydive | Marius Paola from Santa Barbara, CA
Tandem skydiving allows first-time jumpers to experience the thrill and excitement of the sport without the preparation and knowledge required for a solo jump. It only takes a brief training after which you will freefall harnessed to a highly skilled instructor from over two miles above the Earth, reaching speeds of up to 120 miles an hour. At the safe altitude of 5,000 feet the instructor will deploy the main parachute. If you choose, you can activate the parachute yourself, and then take in the view of the San Joaquin Valley, Santa Andreas Fault, on the tranquil ride down.
Your USPA certified tandem instructor will wear a special glove equipped with two cameras, one for video and one for stills, with a special lens to capture the up-close footage of you in freefall. You will be able to share your reactions and expressions of your greatest adventure with everyone!
We dub, edit, and add music to personalize your video right after you jump. You will leave Skydive Taft with your own personal USB thumb drive of your video and digital photos for you to keep. Please notify us at the time of your jump if you would like our skilled instructors to capture your skydiving experience forever.

Views from the pier at Santa Barbara, California

Here we have the views over the Pacific Ocean and Santa Ynez mountains from Stearns Wharf, the pier at Santa Barbara, California, United States. (It is Stearns not Sears wharf as I say here!)
When completed In 1872, it became the longest deep-water pier between Los Angeles and San Francisco. Named for its builder, local lumberman John P. Stearns, the wharf served the passenger and freight shipping needs of California's South Coast for over a quarter century.
When the railroad reached Santa Barbara in 1877, Stearns added an additional spur to the wharf, providing a necessary transport link to his lumberyard and the nearby Southern Pacific Depot. The spur was damaged by severe storms in the early 20th century and was finally abandoned in 1923.
The Harbor Restaurant was built on the wharf in 1941, marking an end to the shipping and transportation era of the 19th century. The restaurant proved to be the economic backbone of the wharf.
Since its beginning, Stearns Wharf has had several natural and economic disasters, from the big earthquake in 1925 to a fire in 1973 which caused its closing. The wharf stayed closed for six years until restorations were completed in 1981. Yet another fire in the winter of 1998 devastated the last hundred and fifty feet of the wharf, including Moby Dick Restaurant. Though the rest of the wharf remained open during this period, the rebuilding took over two years.
Stearns Wharf is Santa Barbara's most visited landmark
My channel on you tube : is one of the most prolific from Poland. I have produced around 2,000 original films.
My big interest in life is travel and history but I have also placed films on other subjects
Please feel free to ask questions in the public area or to comment on things you disagree with. Sometimes there are mistakes because I speak without preparation. If I see the mistakes myself, I make this clear in the text. Please also leave a star rating!
There are a number of films here on the packaging industry. This is because I am the publisher of Central and Eastern European Packaging -- - the international platform for the packaging industry in this region focusing on the latest innovations, trends, design, branding, legislation and environmental issues with in-depth profiles of major industry achievers.
Most people may think packaging pretty boring but it possibly effects your life more than you really imagine!
Central and Eastern European Packaging examines the packaging industry throughout this region, but in particular in the largest regional economies which are Russia, Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, Ukraine and Austria. That is not to say that the other countries are forgotten, they are not, but obviously there is less going on. However the fact that there are so many travel related films here is not from holidays but from business trips attending trade fairs around the region. Every packaging trade fair is a new excuse to make another film!
