Skyline Park, Napa California
Skyline Park in Napa California is one of my favorite day hikes. This is episode 3 of Chris Corsello's Day Tripper series. While Napa is known as a world famous wine growing region, Skyline Wilderness Park allows you to see Napa's natural beauty. Skyline Park is located in Southern Napa and is over 850 acres with over 25 miles of hiking trails. Skyline Park is primarily used for Hiking, Biking, Equestrian, Archery and Disk Golf. It also includes RV sites, camping and the Martha Walker California Native Plant Habitat.
In this video I cover the history of Skyline Park, which started out as property of the Napa Asylum for the Mentally Insane (Later re-named the Napa State Mental Hospital) and was turned over to the country, by the State of California and then leased the a the Skyline Park Citizens Association. The park open in 1983.
In the video, I also recommend trails for hikers and bikers. I also promised downloadable maps as a reward for watching this video. Recommended Hike at Skyline Park:

I put well over 100 hours into producing this video and took all the pictures, video and drone shots myself between 2013 and 2018. I am very proud and think it is the best collection of visual work I have ever created to date.
Thank you for taking the time to watch my video (and read the description). If you are in the San Francisco Bay Area I hope that you will visit Skyline Park for yourself!

A BIT ABOUT ME: I consider myself to be an average rider. Not good with jumps, corners, and not very fast. As I continue to try and improve I find myself becoming more and more passionate about riding and wish I could do this every day. I watched many others start a MTB YouTube channel and thought it would be fun to start my own. All of them are really good riders and do an amazing job giving out information about trails, gear, and tips. I would like to think I could help review trails that aren’t as well known to encourage more bike traffic. Their channels really motivated me to move forward and put my own little twist on trail rides and mountain biking. I will do my best to inspire people to get out and ride and find people to share my adventures with.
Always on a quest to find great mountain bike trails, awesome mountain bike friends, helpful mountain biking tips, and amazing MTBing Adventures.
Skyline Wilderness Park Napa : Part 1 - MTB Gravel Bike Climbing
Managed to sneak in a ride and joined in with Paulo showing us around Skyline Wilderness Park in Napa. Such a great place to ride and the company was amazing as always! Didn't manage to see all of it as we were short on time and the mechanical we had kinda made that decision for us but man really enjoyed whatever we rode that day. Stay tuned for part 2 where we do the descent back down which included some awkward chunky switch backs and just chasing fit riders up and down the final techy stretch to the car..

MTB in Napa, Skyline Wilderness Park
This place rocks! Total ride was only around 8 miles but we got everything from flowy smooth downhill, technical climbs, to steady climbs on fire-trails and smashing rocky downhill.

First Subscriber Ride - Skyline Wilderness Park - Napa, Ca - Mountain Biking
This ride had a brutal climb in the beginning. The three of us riding all agreed that it would be much better down, and climbing the fire road would have changed our ride overall. However getting out there for the first time with one of my subs was awesome! We had a great time and even got to sit around and drink a few beers after the ride! I finally got back to Skyline Wilderness Park in Napa, California, for the first time since I started my channel two years ago. In 2016 it was my first riding video, my first time riding a 1x drivetrain and my first time riding a 27.5 wheelset.
The damage from the fires from last year is evident, but the park is on the comeback.
This is the last time you'll see this Orbea Rallon!

Exploring some new trails at Skyline Wilderness Park in Napa California
Napa County - Skyline Hike to Lake Marie
Unlike a standard park, a Citizens Association has created a diverse landscape with many amenities. The front zone of the Skyline Wilderness Park is a well-developed community park. A Native Habitat Garden brings together a variety of indigenous plants. Passing through a portal of sorts, the back zone is a wild canyon. Hiking uphill, there are wonderful views of the City of Napa. Winter rains fill small lakes connected by a musical creek. Spring brings a wondrous wildflower bloom. There’s a fig tree & the ruins of a miner’s home to explore. This park above Napa has many treasures.

Skyline Park Re-opened post Napa Fires
The Daily Dose episode 16: Napa's Skyline Park reopened this last weekend, the first time since the large fires that spread through Napa and Sonoma in the fall of 2017. The fires did not devastate Skyline Park, but it was clearly effected as there were many burn spot, and the eastern part of Skyline park was devastated, scorched earth, I believe would be an apt description. I took tons of pictures and got some great drone shots, but these are just the pictures taken with my iPhone and the self-generated video/slideshow made by iPhone.
I will be making a much more comprehensive video about Skyline park for my main channel as part of my Day Tripper series, but that might take another month or so to produce.
