Exploring concord Cemetery in Missouri, United States
They say if you touch every head stone, then kiss the witches’ stone she will take over your body and tell her story. On certain nights you can see the shadows of a tall man and a small child. The man is known as the gate keeper and the small child is who the gate keeper killed. There is a black slave man who was buried there and you can see him walk in front of the head stones alone on the left side of the cemetery. Some say that they could hear chains rattling. One of the scariest aspects is that when stepping into Concord, sometimes you can smell peaches. Another legend is that on Halloween night there are two trees that bleed. There is also a haunted truck that comes out and chases you, if you stop in the road before the church turn off your lights and honk your horn till you see head lights appear.

Concord Streets
In historic Concord Massachusetts, the Milldam is the greatest village in America, here are pictures of people in town. In this town, the Revolution began at Old North Bridr, and here Harvard relocated during the Revolution. The sixties were charged by a wave of smart children, offspring of the World War II and high tech industries. Amazing town.. Another Concord Foibles and Other Tails.
Concord Cemetery First look
Concord Cemetery Smith Township, Whitley County, Indiana.
This is an old cemetery with mostly graves from the 1838-1939. The first person buried is believed to be Reuben Long who died in 1838.
Around 166 people are buried here. Including Civil War Veterans and a Daughter of a Revolutionary Soldier.
Unfortunatly there was a fire at some point and all records were lost expect a list of people that were buried. This list was gathered by 2 ladies in 1945 who walked the cemetery and recorded each stone.
The cemetery is in pretty rough shape. Our goal is to clean up the grounds, get the fallen headstone upright and cleaned.
Concord Moment: Mourning Victory Melvin Memorial
A brief look at Mourning Victory, the Melvin Memorial located in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery in Concord, Massachusetts. Concord brothers Asa, John, Samuel, and James Melvin, all joined the Union Army during America's Civil War. Of the four, only James survived. In memory of his brothers, James commissioned sculptor Daniel Chester French to build a memorial. As a child, French had moved to Concord with his family, and taken art lessons from May Alcott (the younger sister of Author Louisa May Alcott). French went on to sculpt many famous works including the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, DC, and The Minuteman Farmer at Concord's North Bridge battle site. For the Melvin Memorial, French designed an Angel holding a laurel branch in one hand and an American Flag overhead in the other. French called the angel Mourning Victory. In the original design, the laurel branch is held in the Angel's right hand, and the flag in the left. Due to the monument's placement in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, the Angel's arms would have obstructed the light, keeping her face in shadows throughout the day. To avoid this, French reversed the arm design, placing the laurel branch in the angel's left hand, and the flag in the right. Commonly referred to as The Melvin Memorial, Mourning Victory is frequently credited as Daniel Chester French's finest War Memorial. A replica of Mourning Victory was later made and placed in New York's MET museum. The MET replica depicts the original arm design.

Best Trail Running in America: Historical Concord, Massachusetts
- Just 22 miles north west of the bustling city of Boston, Massachusetts sits the quaint New England town of Concord. Known as the birthplace of the American Revolution, Concord is also home to many of American literature’s finest writers, such as Henry David Thoreau, Ralph Waldo Emerson, and Louisa May Alcott (all of whom happen to be buried next to each other on Poet’s Ridge in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery.) Concord’s rolling hills, picturesque farms, flowing rivers, and idyllic ponds have inspired poets and revolutionaries for generations. These same qualities, along with its beautifully maintained trails make Concord a trail runner’s paradise.

Halloween Fun in Sleepy Hollow!
To celebrate Halloween, I put together a fun montage of our night-out in Sleepy Hollow, New York. We did the headless horseman tour in Ulster Park, and also visited the Great Jack-O'Lantern Blaze which has over 7,000 individually carved pumpkins on display! It was a spooky night full of fun memories. I hope everyone has a Happy Halloween!
