Snowshoe Mountain is a ski resort in the eastern United States, located in Snowshoe, West Virginia.[2] The resort has skiable terrain across 244 acres (99 ha) and covers a total area of 11,000 acres (44.5 km2) in the Allegheny Mountains, which are a part of the vast Appalachian Mountain Range. It is positioned in the bowl shaped convergence of two mountains, Cheat and Back Allegheny, at the head of the Shavers Fork of the Cheat River. Snowshoe is home to the second highest point in the state and the peak elevation for Cheat Mountain, at Thorny Flat, which reaches 4,848 feet (1,478 m) above sea level.
The Village at Snowshoe is located at the summit of the mountain, rather than at its base. While Snowshoe is still best known for its winter activities, today the resort has extensive mountain biking trails, a popular golf course designed by Gary Player, wedding and convention areas, a number of summer outdoor activities, and also hosts a Grand National Cross Country Racing event each year. The resort comprises the Snowshoe and Silver Creek ski areas. About 480,000 skiers visit the resort each year, primarily from the larger cities of the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast and from across West Virginia.

* Also! Super sorry for my double typos in my video, I literally watched my video 100 times before posting it and I still missed those, if you can spot them point them out in the comments. It's always good for a laugh! Hahaha :D But anyways back to the description for this video, Matt and I traveled to Snowshoe Mountain Resort in West Virginia. We had an amazing time! Zip lining, Kayaking, and so much more! We had originally traveled to Snowshoe for a friend's wedding, after checking into our hotel, Expedition Station, they handed us both a Fun Pass. Which allowed us to experience all the activities on the property! 2 zip line rides, 2 ski lift rides, lake activities, rock climbing. It was easily $100 worth of activities, completely included with our stay! We can't wait for our next Summer Adventure! My family recently spent Labor Day weekend at the Snowshoe Resort in West Virginia mountain biking, enjoying the sights and spending time together. It's rare we are all able to meet up at the same time so this was a real nice time I wanted to capture on video.
