Tangier Island visit
My wife and I made a quick one-day trip to Virginia's Tangier Island, located in the middle of the Chesapeake Bay. We also traveled to other points in Virginia's Northern Neck: Colonial Beach and Caledon State Park. This 12-minute video covers the high points of our three-day vacation.

New Years Day on the Liberty Marina gas dock in Edgewater Maryland, USA
Shortly after sunrise, looking out of the back window of the boat across the South River. Very nice, peaceful, mostly quiet except for an occasional car traveling across the MD 2 bridge.

Buy Boat Reunion - Crisfield, Maryland 2012
Chesapeake Bay Buyboat Reunion took place August 3-4, 2012 at Somers Cove Marina. What's a Buyboat anyway? A Buy Boat or Buyboat was a boat operated by a captain and crew who purchased the catch from directly from fisherman /oysterman while they were at sea. The Buyboat would then bring the catch to market. Sometimes, Chesapeake Bay oysterman would stay at sea most of the winter and simply sell their catches to the buyboats as they came along.
