Fiery Gizzard Trail Part 1
The Fiery Gizzard Trail runs from Tracy City, Tennessee to Foster Falls in Marion County, Tennessee. It is renowned for its beauty and diversity, cited by Backpacker magazine as one of the top 25 hiking trails in the United States. The 12.5-mile (20.1 km) trail offers scenic views, waterfalls, rock formations, and hemlock trees over 200 years old.
The trail follows Fiery Gizzard Creek for a time, then ascends 500 feet (150 m) to Raven Point which offers a spectacular overlook. From there, the trail runs along the canyon rim to Foster Falls.
The trail is part of the South Cumberland State Park.

In Franklin County Tennessee, just a few miles from Monteagle Mountain, you will find an amazing Natural Bridge, carved by nature, just for you to appreciate how amazing nature really is. In this video, we explore Tennessee’s Natural Bridge.
We didn’t actually mean to stumble upon the Natural Bridge, we were actually heading to the Judd’s estate. Not that we were invited or anything but we heard we could see the estate from the road. But it turns out we weren’t even close to that area, but we did find Tennessee’s Natural Bridge and it’s pretty amazing. The Crossville Tennessee KOA offers you much more than just a place to stop. For non RVers we also have log home cottages as well as a 4-unit upscale suite, log lodge motel/suite accommodations We home a Homestead Home and apartment here - a fantastic place for Family Reunions.. For those that use satellite, we have open sky. We have nice areas with trees for tents. At this time we don't have any RV spaces with shade trees. Looking for an area to play golf, Crossville could be the golf capital of Tennessee. Great hiking, biking, canoeing, etc. are all nearby. Call for all the great area attractions. Crossville KOA is situated just off I-40 between two exits, so it will be super easy on / off with no back-tracking to move either way. Whether planning to or from Nashville 100-miles away or Knoxville 60-miles away, we have easy freeway access. Chattanooga is approximately 75 miles south with the Cumberland, that magic triangle that blends woods and waters of various national and state parks using a quality vacation environment atop one in the coolest places some 2000 feet above sea-level for the Cumberland Plateau. A hiking trail temps the back of our property, and now we are very pet friendly.

Fall Creek Falls SP is one of my favorite state parks in Tennessee. At 256' Fall Creek Falls is the tallest waterfalls in the eastern United States.

Kenda and I hiked the South Cumberland State Park Meadow Trail than ate at hiker hangout, Dave's Modern Tavern, in Monteagle, Tennessee. The Meadow Trail is a very easy two mile loop that meanders beneath a canopied forrest which opens up to various meadows and fields full of wildflowers, mosses and grasses.

I discovered Bryson City by accident in the middle of winter almost twenty years ago when I had to exit the Blue Ridge Parkway because of weather. I needed a place to stay until morning and then find an alternate route back to the Tennessee Valley. The locals were extremely friendly and helpful. I complimented them on their amazing town and how it seemed so unique, and we struck up a conversation, and that’s when I first heard about the road to nowhere.
Since then, I’ve heard countless tales about the infamous road to nowhere, rather, The Tunnel to Nowhere. It took me twenty years to get back to Bryson City, but I had to see for myself and find out the real story behind Bryson City’s dead end attraction.
Now the story is true, and this is a conspiracy free zone, and keep in mind there are two sides to any story, but I will do my best to explain both sides when possible. Thank you for watching, and please like and share this video! Information links will follow music credits.
