Epic visit to the South Florida Science Center and Aquarium Palm Beach
The South Florida Science Center and Aquarium is a fantastic jewel of a secret spot in West Palm Beach, Florida that we had never even heard of until recently. A great surprise it was when we learned of it and made a visit to find it had a huge assortment of fun activities for kids from the Conservation Station, Everglades Exhibit, River of Grass, Hurricane Simulator, over 50 brain teasers, interactive outdoor science trail, miniature golf and States of Matter. While we were there they had the dinosaur events and exhibits as well which featured T-Rex, Spinosaurus, Raptors and much more. There is a neat room which records your SHADOW on the wall, they had a live dragon lizard to pet, the aquariums featured the very deadly Lion Fish and sharks even! We’ve been to many museums in the South Florida area and found this one to worth every penny and the time. If you are in the area, or even live here, you won’t regret this visit!
This video is mostly of our son enjoying the activities and exhibits and he certainly had a great time. Perhaps his favorite was the hurricane, wind machine. But what kid would not get a kick out of that? The shadow capturing machine was pretty cool too and the microscope was neat. Very fun place! Enjoy!

Субботняя прогулка в South Florida Science Center and Aquarium

The Science Center revolves around a simple premise: science is exciting! Science means adventure and exploration and we are delivering on this promise by providing schools, visitors and campers an entirely new set of science programming and tech ventures based on computer coding, robotics and other leading edge educational programs. These new programs have allowed us to educate more young minds than ever before, now serving over 215,000 students, teachers and visitors annually, including 75,000 through field trips and educational outreach into schools and classrooms. We recently renovated our facility and updates included a complete re-construction of our 5,000 square foot Hall of Discovery, containing 30 new or rehabilitated hands-on exhibits, upgraded planetarium, new 1,000 square foot early childhood education room; upgraded theater, a new science laboratory and upgraded amenities. The third phase of our renovation is underway and we have big plans for a Science Center Campus project this year which will include a boardwalk, new interactive outdoor exhibits, and a Conservation Golf Course. We hope you will join us in this next exciting phase of our journey.
The South Florida Science Center and Aquarium is located at 4801 Dreher Trail North, West Palm Beach and is open Monday – Friday from 9am-5pm, and on Saturday and Sunday from 10am-6pm.
