Located at the end of a private, winding lane sits this peaceful waterfront paradise. With 3.7 acres to enjoy, as well as a dock, the possibilities are truly endless. Enjoy fishing, kayaking, boating, paddle boarding or just sitting and taking in the views.
The area is home to several notable beaches, including Moonstone Beach, South Kingstown Town Beach at Matunuck, East Matunuck State Beach and Roy Carpenter's Beach. The well-known Theatre-by-the-Sea playhouse is located just down the street and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Theatre hosts several plays a season, and has a lovely restaurant on the premises. Matunuck Oyster Bar Restaurant is located directly across the pond from the house, and is one of the areas most popular and well loved dining spots.
Hop on a ferry and sail to Block Island. The high-speed boat (which takes about a half hour) and the traditional boat (which takes about an hour) both bring you to a seven by three mile island filled with beaches, restaurants, sporting activities, a petting zoo, and various shops. Marinas and hotels/inns are also available for any visitors staying for longer than the day.
The Kingston Train Station is a 20 minute ride away and makes Boston and New York very viable commutes.

The 10 SAFEST CITIES In RHODE ISLAND For 2019
SUBSCRIBE to get REGIONAL INFORMATION about where YOU live:
Full Article Here:
The purpose of this video is to determine where the safest cities to live are in Rhode Island. Those places where crime is usually something you hear about on Facebook, but not from your local paper.
We analyzed cities in Rhode Island with a population of more than 5,000 using the latest FBI crime data.
Here are the 10 Safest CITIES in RHODE ISLAND for 2019:
1. Glocester
2. Scituate
3. Richmond
4. South Kingstown
5. Cumberland
6. Bristol
7. West Greenwich
8. Portsmouth
9. East Greenwich
10. Barrington
Our goal is to combine recent data, fun videos, and thoughts about local culture into bite-sized snacks of shareable information. We call it bite-sized regional infotainment. We try to paint a picture of what’s happening in a region based on “Friday Night Science” — how’d you argue at a bar. To do that, we gather data from around the web to help determine a wide array of factors about where you live, things like safety, desirability, and culture.

Belle Terre
A truly unique offering of an exceptional historic residence on 10+ acres which was once part of a 100 acre heritage farm, now with more than 50 acres preserved in perpetuity. The main residence consists of 5,126 square feet of living space with 5 bedrooms and 4.5 baths. The entry foyer displays an unusual barrel vaulted ceiling with a grand staircase and chandelier. There is a den with fireplace and a small office with wood paneled walls and vaulted ceiling. The first floor great room which spans 50 feet, flows into the formal dining room with the attached sunporch flanking the length of both rooms. The magnificent views from the sunporch are facing east with fields, stone walls, and beautiful mature trees and plantings, including a Koi pond. The large eat-in kitchen with butler's pantry has a Viking stove and Sub-Zero refrigerator.
On the second floor the master bedroom has a private sunporch and sitting room. Stairs to the attic provide storage area in addition to a full basement.
Down the path, passing through the 60 foot pergola there is a stable with paddocks. The location is quite unusual as the property is situated in a bucolic oasis two minutes from town, and it is only five minutes to marinas, restaurants, shops, hospital, and the the beautiful white sandy beaches of South County. Newport, the University of Rhode Island, Watch Hill, T.F. Green Airport, and Amtrak are all within a thirty minute drive. Providence is only forty minutes away.
