South River Falls Hike is a day hike that is moderately difficult depending on what parts of the trails you add on (such as going all the way to the base of the falls). For a detailed description of the trail options go to:
Jumping Waterfalls – Shenandoah National Park
Drove out to Shenandoah National Park in Virginia to camp, hike, take photos, and jump into waterfalls. With just 36 hours in the park, we saw 6 bears and 4 waterfalls – a recipe for wilderness success.

Hike to Doyles River Falls in Shenandoah National Park, VA
Crisp early morning hike in Shenandoah National Park. This sunny early November hike starts just off of Skyline Dry at mile 81.1, near Big Run Overlook. The hike starts by winding its way through the forest as we descend off the crest of the ridge. If you listen closely there is a woodpecker that can be heard in the first few minutes of the video. After a few minutes we encounter a spring and then soon after a small creek. The creek soon gets much larger as it rapidly makes it's way down the side of the mountain. Eventually we encounter the real purpose of this trip. The impressive Doyles River Falls! These falls consist of two separate water falls. The first is 28 feet high and the latter 63 feet. To make the round trip hike to the falls and back is about 3.2 miles with just over a 1000 feet of elevation to climb to get back to the parking area.
South River Loop - Shenandoah National Park
Still pics and HD video of a 4.5 mile loop starting at the South River Picnic Area near Swift Run Gap. Nice hike in a fairly remote section of the park with a small amount of vertical ascent.

HIKING TO DARK HOLLOW FALLS IN SHENANDOAH NATIONAL PARK, VIRGINIA
I'm taking a break from baseball videos today to vlog about our hiking trip to Dark Hollow Falls.
I thought about hitting some baseballs off of the mountain tops, but didn't want to litter in a National Park, since I wouldn't have been able to retrieve the baseballs.
Thanks for watching!
RV LIVING || CHASING FALL IN SHENANDOAH NATIONAL PARK
Us California natives are chasing fall in Shenandoah National Park! To us, this is the beauty of RV living, getting to experience little things we never would have if we stayed put. While fall is most likely not as exciting to some of our east coast viewers, we truly enjoyed watching the colors change in this National Park. Make sure to pay attention because we're doing TWO giveaways in this video ????

Two Days in Shenandoah National Park - Travel Vlog #2
My brothers decided to fly out to D.C. and check out the Blue Ridge Mountains with me. The trip was quite the adventure and I found a new love for paddling.
Comment and subscribe, posting more adventures soon!
We paddled over 8 miles down the Shenandoah River (went through Shenandoah River Outfitters ), and hiked Old Rag. There is so much left to explore in the Blue Ridge Mountains and I cannot wait to come back!

SECRET WATERFALLS | NORTHERN VIRGINIA
In this video I go back to where I went Morel mushroom hunting with Carol and Thomas. I wanted to take the time and just really relax and dedicate a video just to the waterfalls. This has been on of the bigger more secluded waterfalls in Virginia that I have come across. I felt comfortable enough to do some yoga by the waterside. Thanks for watching hope you stay tuned for white oak canyon!

Hello, my name is Sarah and welcome to my Vlog. I enjoy traveling and will try and make it entertaining for you. I'm 25 still in college and just starting to find my passion with exploration and art expression. I post a video about once a week. You can also see on me and my artwork on my Instagram account.
I post videos of my journeys and on what I find inspirational. I hope my channel can inspire you. If you would like to help my Vanlife dream, which is actually me living in my car but they don't have a cool hashtag for that, feel free to donate to my GoFundMe or visit my etsy for merchandise or paintings. I mostly express with acrylic paint. My paintings are fairly cheap because I am a beginner. Right now I am in VA, but my goal is to hit the entire east coast this year. Thanks again, Cheer!
Hiking the River Trail at Great Falls Park, Virginia
The River Trail is a 1.5 mile (one way) trail that parallels the Potomac River, along the cliff tops of the Mather Gorge, just down river from Great Falls. The trail is located in Great Falls Park, in Fairfax County, Virginia.
Park literature rates the trail as moderate-difficult, though personally I did not find the trail difficult at all. It is a short trail with very little elevation change. I suspect the trail rating is due to the very rocky conditions. Also, in some sections the trail passes just along the edge of some very high cliffs. One wrong step could mean almost certain death LOL!
The River Trail offers spectacular views of the Potomac River and Mather Gorge. Thanks for watching! Be sure to LIKE, COMMENT, and SUBSCRIBE!

Rip Rap Trail, Shenandoah National Park, Virginia
John, Cara, Abi, and Olivia spend an afternoon hiking in the Shenandoah National Park off Skyline Drive in Virginia. The Rip Rap Trail is close to the I 64 near Charlottesville and a great moderate hike for families. It's only 3.4 miles round trip from the parking lot.
Jones Run and Doyles Falls Loop, Shenandoah National Park
There is a nice 6.5 mile loop in the southern section of the Shenandoah National Park south of Loft Mountain. It follows two mountain streams that go over a number of falls. The largest is 62 feet. The trail also follows a section of the Appalachian Trail.
Brown Mtn Trail - Shenandoah National Park
Still pics and HD video of a 4.8 mile hike along the Brown Mtn Trail. This is one of the more remote areas in the park. Last year, in the Spring of 2016 more than 10,000 acres burned here and you can see the damage on this hike. The forest is coming back though and in a few more years will be looking good again.
Shenandoah River State Park, Virginia
Shenandoah River State Park is located along 5 miles of the South Fork of the Shenandoah River, near Bentonville in Warren County, northern Virginia. The 1600 acre park features access to the river as well as awesome views of Massanutten Mountain to the west and Shenandoah National Park to the east. It's a great spot for hiking, kayaking or canoeing, fishing, camping, or just a family picnic.
I visited the park on a very blustery cold, January day. With some fresh powder snow on the ground, I stopped by the Visitor Center and made the short and easy hike up to Cullers Overlook, the main view in the park. Afterwards, I drove down to the picnic area to check out the river access. Thanks for watching!

Hike to Jones Run and Doyles River Falls, Shenandoah National Park, VA
We hiked the loop down Jones Run and up the Doyles River trails, passing waterfalls and cascades along the way. Shenandoah National Park, VA. Numerous wildflowers blooming, including Dutchman's Britches (Dicentra cucullaria). Shot 4/27/14.
Dickey Ridge - Shenandoah National Park
Still pics and HD video of an 8.5 mile hike from the Front Royal entrance up to the Visitor Center along the Dickey Ridge Trail. No overlooks along the trail but you have a nice view to the west up at the Visitor Center.
The Cascades, Barneys Wall, Butt Mountain, Jefferson National Forest, VA
This beautiful hike in Jefferson National Forest near Pearisburg, Virginia travels deep into Little Stony Creek Gorge to The Cascades, one of the best waterfalls I've seen in the Southeast. I took the Lower Trail which sticks beside the creek for 2 miles, passing by multiple large cascades and a small slot gorge. Beyond The Cascades I hiked further to the little known Upper Cascades, then took the steep Conservancy Trail up to Barneys Wall. Although the views aren't all-encompassing, Barneys Wall is a vertical cliff nearly 400-ft tall that overlooks the gorge.
From there I continued on the trail and a forest road where hardly a hiker ventures to the old fire tower on Butt Mountain. On the southwest side of the mountain is a cliff overlooking Pearisburg and the New River Valley. I made a fateful decision to find Lookoff Rock on the south side of Butt Mountain, which turned out to be a bushwhack through waist-high thorns with plenty of bear scat and spiders along the way. At the peak according to my GPS there were no views, so I turned around and headed back to the fire tower. Overall it was a great hike excluding the bushwhack excursion, I hope you enjoy the video!
