Earth Day Festival - St. Petersburg, Florida
On April 19th, 2014, St. Petersburg will celebrate Earth Day with its first annual festival to be held in beautiful South Straub Park. The city will join more than 190 countries, over one billion people, to commemorate the birth of the modern environmental movement that began in 1970.
This free event will be presented by the Downtown Partnership, an organization that is focused on local businesses that support green initiatives. The Festival focuses on educating the public about eco-friendly technology, research and products that help create healthy, sustainable communities. Visitors can meet companies that are leading members of the green/sustainable movement and hear from speakers on current topics affecting our Earth. People of all ages are welcome.
While this will be the first official Earth Day festival for St. Pete, the city is leading the way in Florida by implementing strategies for a sustainable future. St. Petersburg is the first city in the state to receive the Green Building Coalition's Green City designation, and has been recognized for energy conservation, recycling, water conservation, fuel efficiency, landscaping and preservation of open spaces, and other environmental programs.

Snowfest!
Join us for Snowfest 2018! Snow in florida??? Snowfest is an annual event in downtown St. Petersburg Florida located at North Straub Park. It rarely snows in Florida, so 65 tons of snow was brought in to create a Winter Wonderland. Snow Fest ran $5 per child to participate in various events throughout North Straub Park such as big and kiddie toboggan slide, art tent, moonwalks, giant slide, inflatable train, cookie decorating, and more!

A great place to visit in St.Pete, Clearwater. There are beautiful gardens with jungle trees, exotic birds and ponds. If only the talking birds would talk!
It's very close to Tampa, Florida! It's also a pretty wedding location.
For tourists visiting Florida it is an ideal break from the heat of the beach and the chaos of the theme parks. It''s cheap and fun too!
