This is one of the largest tea markets in the world: Jinshi Tea Market in Kunming, Yunnan, China
This massive tea market is focused on puerh and contains hundreds of tea shops selling both pressed tea, loose tea, and teaware.
If you are in Kunming this place is worth checking out. You can take a taxi to Jinshi Chaye Shichang / 金实茶叶市场. It is situated at the north end of Kunming where Beijing Road meets the 2nd Ring Road. It is definitely worth the visit:

ANXI TEA MARKET | Tie Guan Yin Tea
In this video, we travel to Anxi in China to visit the Anxi Tea Market, famous for its Tie Guan Yin oolong tea (or 'Tieguanyin' tea, as it is often written). This is the 1st tea sourcing video in our China tea travel series and the 1st video, detailing our journey to finding the best high mountain Tie Guan Yin tea. The plan for this China tea travel video was to show you a little bit of the city of Anxi, the birthplace of some of the best Tieguanyin oolong tea, as well as, of course, to show you the tea story of Anxi and its tea market.
In our later videos, we will be going straight to source, to the high mountains villages around the area considered to have some of the best terroirs and the most prized tea masters - to the tiny villages in the deepest mountains of Gande township. Since this area is so remote, we will endure some adventures for sure, show you some family Tie Guan Yin tea factories and teach you a lot about Tie Guan Yin tea production, so stay tuned! :)
But next week, we will give you a teaser into these adventures and show you a tasting comparison of some Tie Guan Yin tea we sourced, where you'll get a sneak peak into our mountain tea travels!

China AP Market Shanghai
An in Depth look at the AP Shanghai Market. This shows interactions with the workers and the bartering that can go down here. Bags and watches were mostly left out as we were asked not to film these. This video will give you a good idea of what to expect when coming to this market. In all honesty, this market was one of the best in China. The bartering monsters come out....
Prices: you may or may not get the same as us
underarmour t shirts 40-50 RMB
underarmour long sleeve 60 RMB
Adidas ultra boost 180RMB
Adidas boost 150RMB
most shoes should be around 150-200RMB
regular t shirts 30-50 RMB
mens sweat pants 100RMB
superdry jacket 200 RMB
Canada goose jacket womens long 350 RMB
some tea 35 RMB
Bose Bluetooth headphones 80-100RMB
Apple watch 100RMB
Supreme hat 50-80RMB
Stussy beanie 30-50 RMB
Sunglasses 50 RMB
that's all I can remember for now.
If you are not getting the price you want, then there is another store with the exact same stuff around the corner. Also leaving and coming back works as well. Good luck and I would say that everyone has a different style to bartering. I would typically pay a couple dollars more than my friend as he was able to stick to his original pricing. I would cave in and pay the extra couple bucks. All in all, I'm home now and wouldn't be able to tell the difference.

China Guangzhou (Canton) City Overview.
smartttravelsrajkot.com
Guangzhou
Guangzhou (广州 Guǎngzhōu or just simply GZ) is the capital of Guangdong Province in southern China. According to the 2010 census, it has a population of 12.7 million, making it the third largest city in mainland China after Shanghai and Beijing. It is adjacent to Hong Kong and Macau forming an urban triangle. In the era of tea clippers, Guangzhou was known in the West as Canton. The food and the language of the area are still known as Cantonese and it is perfectly acceptable to use either the western or Chinese term interchangeably. The Cantonese are proud and hardworking people known throughout China and the world over for their famous cuisine and tack for business. One thing you will notice in Downtown Guangzhou is that there is none of the horn honking that is typical in other Chinese cities. Apparently there is a by-law prohibiting it. Guangzhou drivers seem to follow the rules of the road a bit more than in other cities where it is generally a free-for-all.
The city is famous for foreign trade and business doings, and holds China's largest trade fair, the Canton Fair. However, in between the seemingly endless skyscrapers, shopping malls and building sites there is a lot of culture and history. While Guangzhou is not usually high on the list of Asian tourist destinations, it is amazing how much the city actually has to offer.
