Bucharest Spa: Therme Bucharest!
This trip was a wonderful accident! We recently visited the city of BUDApest, so my wife went to scratch it off her scratch map but accidentally scratched BUCHArest. Whoops...
For most people, that's not a big deal. For us, that automatically means we MUST visit Bucharest! I immediately started looking for things to do in Bucharest (which will be another vlog). It wasn't until we actually arrived in Bucharest that we happened to stumble on a park bench Ad for Therme Bucharest.
Therme Bucharest is a thermal spa and wellness center full of pools, themed saunas, and slides! This was definitely our favorite thing to do in Bucharest. Well... right outside of Bucharest. Therme Bucharest is a 40min drive from the city, but this Bucharest spa has an amazing shuttle service that'll take you right downtown even after it closes. The prices in Bucharest are very affordable so this attraction won't break your bank.
If you visit Bucharest and you're looking for an attraction off the beaten path, definitely spend a day at Therme Bucharest-

Cu o zi înaintea deschiderii oficiale a Therme Bucuresti, cel mai mare centru de relaxare si distractie bazat pe ape termale, Europa FM vă invită la un tur virtual.
Therme București se întinde pe o arie de peste 250.000 de metri pătrați, aproape cât 39 de terenuri de fotbal. La Therme București, apa geotermală este adusă la suprafață de la o adâncime de peste 3.100 de metri. Forajul este o dublă premieră pentru România modernă, pentru că este cel mai adânc foraj de apă termală realizat dupa ‘89 și folosește o tehnică revoluționară, care păstrează toate calitățile fizice și chimice ale apei, până la suprafață. Drumul pe care apa din adâncuri îl parcurge până la suprafață este comparabil cu lungimea uneia dintre cele mai cunoscute artere din București – Calea Victoriei.

We wanted to give a new value to one of the least exploited natural resources in Romania, the geo thermal waters. Through this project, we manage to pump up water 3,100 metres (10,170 feet) from the underground at more than 80 degrees Celsius (176 Fahrenheit). We use these waters to heat the whole complex 360 days a year.

The construction was very difficult. We can compare it for example to the building of an airport. There are very complicated operations here. We need to take care of the air flow and the heating of the complex, the treatment of the waters done through ozone, which is the most professional system these days to treat water. We obtain a very high purity of the water as a result, adding to the comfort of all the visitors who come here.

Our project doesn't have a strictly determined customer profile. It's meant for everybody, like families with one or two children, pensioners, school children and so on. It's not only focused on the weekends, when everybody comes for relaxation, but also for those who want to come and spend one or two hours during the week.

LEADIN:
Bucharest has joined the list of spa hotspots in Europe with the opening of a giant thermal bath complex.
The new Bucharest Spa boasts eight pools filled with water pumped up from underground thermal springs and a botanical garden with 800-thousand plants.
STORYLINE
An exotic water palace in the Romanian capital.
Austria's A-Heat Group has opened this huge thermal bath-and-spa complex that it says is the largest in Europe.
Therme Bucuresti, or Bucharest Spa, certainly boasts impressive figures: a complex of 250,000 square-metres (300,000 square yards) containing eight indoor and outdoor pools and 16 water slides.
There's also botanical garden filled with no less than 800-thousand trees and plants, including 500 palm trees.
The water in these steaming pools is pumped from more than three kilometres (1.9 miles) underground and cooled to a constant 33 degrees Celsius (91.4 Fahrenheit).
The complex cost 50 million euros (55 million US dollars) and took three years to build.
Iacob says the project required a great deal of complex engineering work.
The owners claim the vast project is environmentally friendly too.

Romania Therme Spa Bucharest
We went there with his family and it was very crowded but still we had fun. We spent 5 hours and for me it was pretty good. Sad to say I wasnt able to film the whole therme because most of the time my phone was in the locker????
The place is really beautiful, huge and with plenty of saunas. We also had fun with the water slides. I enjoyed the warm water with bubbles also the idea that I can drink my favorite drinks while relaxing ☺️????
NO DOUBT THAT IT IS THE BEST WELLNESS CENTER IN EUROPE.
I really want to go back here ????????????
The entrance fee is quite expensive but worth it! Super worth it.
