Spokane area weathering economic downturn
New estimates show the U.S economy declined at a 2.9 percent annual rate in the first quarter, the weakest quarter for the economy since 2009. However economists aren't too worried, blaming the nasty winter weather for much of the decline. KXLY4's John Hendricks reports.

4094 Pipes - The 4th largest Pipe Organ in the United States: Spokane, WA
Here are sounds from the pipe organ located in St. John's Episcopal Cathedral in the Inland Northwest US.
I was taking a tour of the gigantic, Gothic structure, when I thought to ask if I could play the organ. They let me, and one of the organists was even kind enough to run through it with me and let me try different sounds! ^.^ I improvised using minor chord progressions.
This is my first time ever playing a real pipe organ.

Deer Lake in Spokane County By Marc Martyn
Deer Lake is a very popular lake north of Spokane with good fishing opportunities and summertime water sports. It has one resort on it and a public launch. During the fall and early spring, the lake is very quite, with little activity. When school is out for the summer, the lake transforms into a very busy water sport lake. There are two youth camps located on the west side of the lake. My special thanks to Paul Reece for contributing his music for this video.

Description
Handel's Messiah Community Singalong December 2 2012 Spokane First Presbyterian Church Wa Full Video
This is the entire video we took at this concert. I was singing along in the lower level, so I had my mom and sister do the videoing from the balcony. This entire performance (with a few seconds missing here and there) was performed on December 2, 2012 at the Spokane First Presbyterian Church. Not every piece in the Messiah was performed, but it is a very nearly complete rendition, as my experience tells me.
Here is a list of all the pieces performed that evening:
Overture (Orchestral)
Comfort Ye My People (Tenor)
The Voice of One Crying in the Wilderness (Tenor)
Ev'ry Valley Shall Be Exalted (Tenor)
And the Glory of the Lord (Chorus)
Thus Saith the Lord (Bass)
Behold, a Virgin Shall Conceive (Alto)
O Thou That Tellest Good Tidings to Zion (Alto, Chorus)
The People That Walked in Darkness (Bass)
For Unto Us a Child is Born (Chorus)
Pifa (Pastoral Symphony) (Orchestral)
There Were Shepherds Abiding in Their Fields (Soprano)
And Lo, the Angel of the Lord Came upon Them (Soprano)
And the Angel Said unto Them (Soprano)
And Suddenly There Was with the Angel (Soprano)
Glory to God (Chorus)
He Was Despised (Alto)
Surely He Hath Borne Our Griefs (Chorus)
And with His Stripes We Are Healed (Chorus)
All We Like Sheep Have Gone Astray (Chorus)
Thy Rebuke Hath Broken His Heart (Tenor)
Behold, and See if There Be Any Sorrow (Tenor)
He Was Cut Off out of the Land of the Living (Tenor)
But Thou Did'st Not Leave His Soul in Hell (Tenor)
Lift Up Your Heads, O Ye Gates (Chorus)
Why Do the Nations So Furiously Rage Together? (Bass)
Hallelujah! (Chorus)
I Know That My Redeemer Liveth (Soprano)
Since By Man Came Death (Chorus)
Behold, I Tell You a Mystery (Bass)
The Trumpet Shall Sound (Bass)
Then Shall Be Brought to Pass (Alto)
O Death, Where Is Thy Sting? (Alto/Tenor)
But Thanks Be to God (Chorus)
If God Be For Us, Who Can Be Aginst Us? (Soprano)
Recitation of Revalation 5:1-12 by John Somers
Worthy Is the Lamb (Chorus)
Amen (Chorus)
I am very sorry, but it appears that my camera reached the end of its videoing capabilities (by using the maximum length it can handle of 29:59), so the last few seconds of the amen chorus have been cut off. Oh, Well. Maybe I can get that next year.
