Bass fishing for Snook Port Saint Lucie Florida 6/23/18

Rio De' Ais (((ORIGINAL))) River of the Indians
I love mother earth our River and oceans especially, The River has been a major issue here in south Florida since before I was born and will be when I leave this planet but thought I'd do my part with music to contribute to the awareness. Not that it needs it its no secret all you have to do is walk out side and open your eyes or nose for that matter but Ill fight for her.
The Indian river is actually not a river it has no flow from headwaters to mouth its water is moved by tides and wind, and five inlets to the Atlantic Ocean. It is an estuary 156 miles long 353 square miles- its a cradle of the ocean a spawning ground for many fish and other sea life.
Economy-Contributes about 47 billion in property values to counties along her shores, generates 3.7 billion$ annually, fisheries generate 30 million half of Florida's east coast fisheries blue crab catch in 2012 was less than 1/20th what it was 25 years ago fisherman bring home less than half the pounds they did just 25 years ago….Stone crabs-in 30 years 6,500 pounds about 57 lbs per trip in 1989 to 8.3 pound a trip this year….sure weather fishing drought play roles but so does pesticides billions of gallons of fresh water run off from Lake Okeechobbee and so on, all you have to do is look. grass beds are mud puddles, every year theres algae blooms, dead fish, dead manatees, warnings to stay out of certain areas
she holds 685 species of fish
370 bird species
2100 plant species
2200 animal species
Theres plenty of information online about North Americas greatest living estuary the Indian River Lagoon once called the Rio De Ais, the Ais were an Indian tribe that once inhabited the south eastern coast of Florida…Would love to travel back in time!
Do something to help our Earth, volunteer, reach out, forward my song, pray. Anything.
Thanks Bobby

Ancient Ais Burial Mound, Old Fort Park, Fort Pierce. The Ais are believed to have occupied the coastal region of Florida from present-day Cape Canaveral to Port Saint Lucie. There was once a natural spring nearby and the Ais chose this site on a bluff overlooking the Indian River as a burial ground.
