Shanghai, Yu Yuan - China Travel Channel
The Yu Garden (Yuyuan Garden 豫园) in Shanghai is one of the most beautiful gardens in China. The garden, located in the northeast of the Old Town of Shanghai, covers an area of more than 20000 square meters and 28 buildings is easily accessible by Shanghai Metro Line 10.
During the Ming Dynasty, in 1559, the imperial official Pan Yunduan created the garden in the Suzhou style as a private garden for his parents .In the 19th century, during the Opium Wars, the Taiping Rebellion and the Sino-Japanese War, the Yu Yuan garden was severely damaged. The reconstruction started in 1960 and since 1961 the garden is open to the public.
A Chinese garden always consists of four elements: water, rocks, plants and a pagoda. Furthermore It is important that the design of a garden never shows its entirety, to allow different landscapes within a garden.
Since 1982, the Yu Garden is a national monument of China.

Hangzhou Six Harmonies Pagoda - Trip to China part 41 - Full HD travel video
The Six Harmonies Pagoda, situated by the Qiantang River, has been praised and eulogised for hundreds of years by poets and scribes.
According to historical documents, the Six Harmonies Pagoda was originally built in 970 during the Northern Song Dynasty by Qianhongchu, King of Wuyue. Legend has it that the pagoda was built primary as a flood defence. The pagoda is symbolic of the harmony in balanced polar opposites, such as heaven, earth, east, west, south and north. With nine storeys and standing 150 meters high, the pagoda has also served as a beacon, with a light shining from the top lighting up the night in order to guide the many vessels traversing the Qiantang River.

Twin Pagoda Temple | Yongzuo Temple in Shanxi Province, China
The Twin Pagoda Temple (Chinese: 双塔寺; Pinyin: Shūangtǎsì), officially known as Yongzuo Temple (Chinese: 永祚寺; Pinyin: Yǒngzuòsì), of Taiyuan, Shanxi province, China, is a temple containing two pagodas dating from the Ming dynasty.
The East pagoda was built in 1597, and the West one in 1612. In charge of the pagoda’s construction was a high ranking monk, named Fodeng (佛灯). By the 20th century, deterioration since construction had caused the East pagoda to slant from its center of gravity by 2.87 meters. In 1995, experts set about trying to correct the slant. They removed earth from underneath the pagoda and successfully corrected the pagoda's tilt

2018 China: Xi'an - Giant Wild Goose Pagoda
Built over 1,300 years ago, it is now the earliest attic-styled square brick tower in Tang dynasty with the largest scale in China. Moreover, this pagoda enjoys rich Buddhist culture, profound history of famous figures, splendid architectural art, etc. so it is regarded as the gem of Chinese ancient architectural history and a sacred Buddhist land. Now, it is both the landmark of Xi’an city and the vital place for the welcoming foreign leaders and friends.
Daci’en Temple , where the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda is located in, was built in 648 AD, because the prince Li Zhi wanted to pray for his deceased mother and pay back to her kindness, when Master Xuan Zang was announced the first abbot.
In 652 AD, Xuan Zang brought the precious sutra and other relics from India along the Silk Road back to ancient China and translated the valuable Buddhist text here, since then the Giant Goose Pagoda has been one of three largest Buddhist text translating places in ancient China. To well preserve these treasurable Buddhist culture, the pagoda was constructed for 5 floors. According to the historical materials, the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda has been rebuilt for many times, and it finally gets the appearance of 7 floors of about 65m high at present.

Suzhou Tiger Hill Pagoda - Trip to China part 35 - Full HD Travel Video
Tiger Hill is a hill in Suzhou, in China. It is a popular tourist destination and is known for its natural beauty as well as historical sites. The hill is so named because it is said to look like a crouching tiger. Another legend states that a white tiger appeared on the hill to guard it following the burial of King Helü. The hill is sometimes referred to in parallel with Lion Mountain, another hill near Suzhou which clearly resembles a sitting lion.

Morning walk to pagoda park in Sanmenxia China
I spent some time in Sanmenxia China 三门峡中国 but had very little time to tour the city. One morning I got up early and took a walk through the city. Every day we would see the pagoda up on the hill and I really wanted to see it up close and walk up the giant stair case to get there.
The Three Pagodas (Dali - Yunnan - China)
(EN) The Three Pagodas are an ensemble of three independent pagodas arranged on the corners of a equilateral triangle, near the town of Dali, Yunnan province, China, dating from the time of the Nanzhao kingdom and Kingdom of Dali.
The Three Pagodas are located about 1.5 km (0.9 miles) north of scenic Dali, Yunnan province. They are at the east foot of the tenth peak of the massive Cangshan Mountains and face the west shore of the Erhai Lake of the ancient Dali town. The Three Pagodas are made of brick and covered with white mud. As its name implies, the Three Pagodas comprise three independent pagodas forming a symmetric triangle. The elegant, balanced and stately style is unique in China's ancient Buddhist architectures, which makes it a must-see in the tour of Dali. The Three Pagodas, visible from miles away, has been a landmark of Dali City and selected as a national treasure meriting preservation in China.
The main pagoda, known as Qianxun Pagoda (pinyin Qian Xun Ta), reportedly built during 823-840 AD by king Quan Fengyou (劝丰佑) of the Nanzhao state, is 69.6 meters (227 feet) high and is one of the tallest pagodas in China's history. The central pagoda is square shaped and composed of sixteen stories; each story has multiple tiers of upturned eaves. There is a carved shrine containing a white marble sitting Buddha statue at the center of each façade of every story. The body of the pagoda is hollow from the first to the eighth story, surrounded with 3.3 meters (10 feet) thick walls. In 1978, more than 700 Buddhist antiques, including sculptures made of gold, silver, wood or crystal and documents, were found in the body during a major repairing work. The designers of the pagoda are supposed to have come from Xi'an, the capital of Tang Dynasty at that time and the location of another pagoda, Small Wild Goose Pagoda, which shares the similar style but is one hundred years older.
The other two sibling pagodas, built about one hundred years later, stand to the northwest and southwest of Qianxun Pagoda. They are 42.19 meters (140 feet) high. Different from Qianxun Pagoda, they are solid and octagonal with ten stories. The center of each side of every story is decorated with a shrine containing a Buddha statue.
There is a lake behind them. Named (聚影池) Juying Chi (Reflection pond), the pond is known to be able to reflect images of the Three Pagodas. (wikipedia)
