Mackinac Island's Historic Houses of Worship
Mackinac Island is home to four historic churches, Ste Anne's Catholic Church (open year round), Mission Church ( no longer offering regular services but does permit weddings), Trinity Episcopal Church (open most of the year) and Little Stone Church (open May through October). Our temple, Kehilat Hatzav Hagadol offers services on Friday nights during the summer at Trinity Parish Hall. Mackinac Island Bible Church offers services Wednesday evenings at the Bible Church Parsonage and Sunday Services at Mission Point Resort.

Mackinac Island
Mackinac Island (/ˈmækɨnɔː/ MAK-in-aw) is an island and resort area, covering 3.8 square miles (9.8 km2) in land area, in the U.S. state of Michigan. It is located in Lake Huron, at the eastern end of the Straits of Mackinac, between the state's Upper and Lower Peninsulas. The island was home to a Native American settlement before European exploration began in the 17th century. It served a strategic position amidst the commerce of the Great Lakes fur trade. This led to the establishment of Fort Mackinac on the island by the British during the American Revolutionary War. It was the site of two battles during the War of 1812.
In the late 19th century, Mackinac Island became a popular tourist attraction and summer colony. Much of the island has undergone extensive historical preservation and restoration; as a result, the entire island is listed as a National Historic Landmark. It is well known for its numerous cultural events; its wide variety of architectural styles, including the famous Victorian Grand Hotel; its fudge; and its ban on almost all motor vehicles. More than 80 percent of the island is preserved as Mackinac Island State Park.

Here's a sneak peek of Joe and Kristin's Wedding and Reception in Detroit, Michigan. The couple reside out of state; however, they both graduated from University of Detroit and love the city of Detroit. There was no question as to where their marriage celebration would take place! We accompanied the bride and groom and their wedding party to several scenic downtown locations such as the Fox Theater, Comerica Park, and Campus Martius Park. The Belle Isle Conservatory was the site of their outdoor ceremony. Afterward, the couple and their guests headed to the Greektown Casino Hotel for the reception.
