St. Michael in Berlin-Mitte
St. Michael in Mitte, Geschichte einer Ruinenkirche
St.Marien (St.Mary's) Dinslaken Lohberg - duet of the 2 smaller bells
The two smaller bells of St.Maria Immaculata call the faithful to the service
St.Mary's Church recieved 4 bronze bells in 1932, cast by Ulrich in Apolda, with the notes C E G A (Salve Regina) .Unfortunately they had to let 3 of them go ,because Nazi Germany confiscated bells for war purposes - only the 4th and smallest, named Petrus Canisius
The 3 confiscated bells did not come back, so they were replaced by steel bells of Bochumer Verein :
Albertus Magnus (in F#) in 1952
Josef (in E) in 1953
Maria Immaculata (C#, Bourdon) in 1954
Albertus Magnus was made half a note lower than the original bell, whole Maria Immaculata was raised half a note, making the so called ''Parsifal Motive'' C# E F# A
The grand chamber causes a very impressive tower accustic, which makes this peal very special.
You can still see the ringing rope holes in the ceilings also !

SUMMARY
=======
Peter Canisius, S.J. (Dutch: Pieter Kanis, 8 May 1521 – 21 December 1597) was a renowned Dutch Jesuit Catholic priest. He became known for his strong support for the Catholic faith during the Protestant Reformation in Germany, Austria, Bohemia, Moravia, and Switzerland. The restoration of the Catholic Church in Germany after the Protestant Reformation is largely attributed to the work there of the Society of Jesus, which he led. He is venerated in the Catholic Church as a saint and as a Doctor of the Church.
Abuse in the Catholic Church | DW Documentary
Child abuse in the Catholic Church was long a taboo subject, kept under wraps by senior church dignitaries. But in the pursuit of justice, the Church’s inactivity eventually prompted the victims of child abuse to take matters into their own hands.
For too long the Church has denied, ignored and hushed up abuse. The victims are entitled to justice. In September 2018, Cardinal Reinhard Marx, head of the German Bishops’ Conference, uttered these words and apologized to all victims of sexual abuse by Catholic officials in Germany. But Matthias Katsch, one of the most prominent representatives of victims in Germany, maintains that the Church’s handling of abuse remains problematic even now. A former pupil at the private Canisius-Kolleg school and spokesperson for the Squared Table” victims’ initiative uncovered the abuse scandal in the Catholic Church in Germany in 2010. For over thirty years, his abusers’ crimes had stayed covered up. Then, Matthias Katsch and his former classmates broke the silence when they turned to the public with accusations against their former teachers - Jesuit priests Peter R. and Wolfgang S. And what happened next? Not much, it seems. Both men were spotted in Chile after 2010. Impatient with the lack of progress, Matthias Katsch took matters into his own hands and set out to Chile to find the abusers - and their next victims. Filmmaker Eva Müller went with him.

Friedenskirche Potsdam
September 1848 statt. Die Bauzeit an den Nebenanlagen dauerte bis 1854. Der ganze Komplex ist oberitalienischen Klosterbauten nachempfunden.
