St Clement Danes, London
This church has it's obvious connection with the oranges and lemons rhyme. The tune is supposed to be played every three hours on these bells but the machine seems to be broken.
During the WWII blitz this church was completely gutted. It was rebuilt as the RAF church, and a new peal of 10 bells provided by Whitechapel. Theyre really good though they are a better eight than a ten. The only bell left surviging after the destruction of the church was the sanctus which was hung high up in the top tiers of the tower. The sanctus was cast in 1588 by Robert Mot.
Here is some Stedman Caters.

Bell ringing at St. Clement Danes, London
An extract from a peal of Grandsire Caters rung at St. Clement Danes, London on Saturday 26th September 2015. The time taken was 3 hours and 6 minutes.
This is taken from around 15 minutes into the attempt. These bells sound lovely, but aren't the easiest to ring. Cast in 1955 by the Whitechapel Bell Foundry, these bells replaced an earlier ring of ten which were destroyed in the war. The tenor was recast in 1979.
