Driving around Fort Pierce, Florida
Fort Pierce is a city in and the county seat of St. Lucie County, Florida, United States. The city is part of the Treasure Coast region of Atlantic Coast Florida. It is also known as the Sunrise City, sister to San Francisco, California, the Sunset City. The population was 41,590 at the 2010 census. As of 2018, the population recorded by the U.S. Census Bureau was 46,071. It was named after the Fort Pierce Army post which was built nearby in 1838 during the Second Seminole War. The military post had been named for Benjamin Kendrick Pierce, a career United States Army officer and the brother of President Franklin Pierce.
Fort Pierce was awarded the 2005 City of Excellence Award by the Florida League of Cities for overall excellence in city government and in 2011, Main Street Fort Pierce, Inc. received the Great American Main Street Award from the National Trust for Historic Preservation in downtown.

2014.08.24, Access in and out of Bear Point Sanctuary with kayaks is easy. The body of water is the Indian River. This 4:45 pm on a Sunday when we launched. here are many research efforts and advanced technologies to help scientists understand life in the sea. However, most of the data is not integrated which hinders our ability to see the whole picture. Dr. Mitch Roffer will talk about how scientists at the University of South Florida and the Smithsonian are working with NOAA, NASA and other agencies to create the Marine Biodiversity Observation Network to better understand how the ocean is changing and support better ocean management.

New Equestrian Drill Team from EATSF Ranch in Coconut Creak, Florida
Equine Assisted Therapies of South Florida aka EATSF.
This is just a snippet video during the final practice for our New EATSF DRILL TEAM. This is 2 days before the Regional Special Olympics to be held in Wellington, Florida. The riders with Unique Abilities are all emerging independent riders. The Drill Team is comprised of two girls with Down syndrome, Cerebral Palsy and Autism. Their parents are proud of the accomplishment of their daughters as team riders. This New Drill Team began training under the watchful leadership of Marla their awesome Trainer. Protecting the Indian River Lagoon Aquatic Preserves
The Indian River Lagoon region has over 7 million visitors every year. The blue waters, and sunny skies make it easy to see why one would love to paddle and visit these waterways. However, with each person visiting this unique ecosystem, impacts are becoming more and more prominent. The Subaru/Leave No Trace Traveling Trainers visited the preserves during the first 2017 Leave No Trace Hot Spot.
