Mine really is to take this opportunity to thank all Kenyans for the peace that we have maintained from the period before the election, during the election and after this election and to continue asking all Kenyans to pray for that peace, because it is that peace that will give us the ability to deliver and it is that peace that will enable us all working together to achieve the dreams, the goals and the aspirations of all Kenyans wherever they are.

STORYLINE:
Kenya's president-elect, Uhuru Kenyatta, has attended Easter Sunday mass at a Catholic church in Nairobi, a day after Kenya's Supreme Court upheld his election win.
Kenyatta and some members of his Jubilee Coalition joined worshippers at the service at Saint Austin Church in Kenya's capital.
Addressing the congregation, Kenyatta thanked Kenyans for the peace we have maintained from the period before the election, during the election and after this election.
He asked the nation to pray for peace, saying it is that peace that will enable us all working together to achieve the dreams, the goals and the aspirations of all Kenyans wherever they are.
The country remained mostly peaceful after the court on Saturday upheld Kenyatta's election as president, but Kenyan police deployed forces on Sunday in the capital and in the lakeside city of Kisumu to contain the continuing threat of violence after two people were killed in riots Saturday, officials said.
Kenyatta won by a hair in the 4 March election, with 50.07 percent of the vote, breaking the 50 percent mark by about 8,000 votes out of 12.3 (m) million cast.
Odinga alleged that Kenyatta won fraudulently and filed a petition with the Supreme Court two weeks ago.
The verdict means that Kenyatta, the son of Kenya's first president, is to be sworn in as president on 9 April.
He will become the second sitting president in Africa to face charges at the International Criminal Court.
The other is Sudan's President Omar al-Bashir, who has been indicted by the ICC for allegedly masterminding genocide in Darfur.
Kenyatta and Deputy President-elect William Ruto both face charges that they helped orchestrate the 2007-08 postelection violence in which more than 1,000 people died.
