St. Mary's Church - Caerau Hillfort, Cardiff Wales
Surrounded by housing and the A4232, Caerau hillfort is one of the largest and best preserved in South Wales. It occupies the western tip of an extensive ridge-top plateau in the western suburbs of Caerau and Ely, Cardiff, Wales. The old parish church, St Mary’s, and a small ringwork, almost certainly a medieval castle site probably contemporary with the church, stand within the hillfort on the north-eastern side. Caerau Hillfort is the third largest Iron Age hillfort in Glamorgan enclosing 5.1 hectares (about the size of four football pitches). Recent excavations by Channel Four’s Time Team in April 2012 showed that occupation started about 600BC and lasted, probably not continuously, into the 3rd century AD.

St Fagans Documentary
This is a documentary we created as part of a group to show all the work we had done that went into producing the piece of set in the workshop in Barry docks. The documentary tells the story of how the whole Art department mysteriously disappeared after coming into contact with the hauntings of the Llwyn-yr-eos Farmhouse. Is their disappearance a coincidence? Is that room really haunted? What is the truth, and who is hiding it?
Thank you to the St. Fagans National History Museum for allowing us access and for letting us film in the buildings and thank you to Terry the 'Anonymous' interviewee and St Fagans employee.
Also Thank you to the guys at the Barry workshop for helping us construct and paint the set itself.

The Catholic Church in England and Wales is part of the worldwide Roman Catholic Church in full communion with the Pope.Celtic Christianity, with some traditions different from those of Rome, was present in Roman Britain from the first century AD, but after the departure of the Roman legions was in retreat to paganism. In 597 AD, the first authoritative papal mission, establishing a direct link from the Kingdom of Kent to the See of Rome and to the Benedictine form of monasticism, was carried into effect by Augustine of Canterbury. The English Church continuously adhered to the See of Rome for almost a thousand years from the time of Augustine of Canterbury, but in 1534, during the reign of King Henry VIII, the church, through a series of legislative acts between 1533 and 1536 became independent from the Pope for a period as the Church of England, a national church with Henry declaring himself Supreme Head.

Iron Age Hillfort, The Lost World of Ely - First Light
This touching documentary was made by pupils from Trelai primary school using live action and animation. It explores the colourful history of the ancient fort in Ely, an area of Cardiff thought to be the oldest settlement in Wales. The area survived many changes from its beginnings as an Iron Age hillfort, through the Roman invasion, a Norman church was built and then was finally used as farmland to feed the growing population of Cardiff.

Welsh miners - The 'Stute - First Light
The 'Stute is about Oakdale Welsh Miners Institute which was moved from its original site to the National History Museum in the St. Fagan's area of Cardiff. Through original voice recordings of people who lived in Oakdale, the film relives the days when the 'Stute was a thriving institution and cultural centre of the community. These recording were the starting point for this touching animated film about the Institute and all the emotional stories that were once wrapped up inside it.
