16th Century St Trillo's Chapel at Rhos on Sea North Wales Coast
This is dedicated to the two nice ladies I met.
Hope you have found this video, now follows information about it.
Take a peek inside this tiny, single-storey chapel by the sea.
Is this the smallest church in Britain? With seats for just six people, it may well be a contender for the title.
Dating to the early 16th century, the chapel may have been built on the site of an older church on the orders of the Cistercian monks at Aberconwy Abbey.
In 1935 the chapel was carefully restored and re-consecrated by William Thomas Havard, Bishsop of St Asaph.
The chapel is dedicated to St Trillo, an early saint from the 6th century with connections to the area.
The altar stands over a natural spring, thought to have been an ancient holy well, from which water has been used for baptisms in the parish.

Rhos-on-Sea, also known as Rhos or Llandrillo, is a seaside resort, community and electoral ward in Conwy County Borough, Wales. It adjoins Colwyn Bay. It is named after the Welsh kingdom of Rhos established there in late Roman times as a sub-kingdom of Gwynedd, and later became a cantref .
Bryn Euryn is a hill overlooking Rhos-on-Sea on which there are the remains of a hillfort called Dinerth, the 'fort of the bear', and a limestone quarry. Ednyfed Fychan, 13th century seneschal to Llywelyn the Great and ancestor to the House of Tudor was granted the land and built a castle on the hill, of which all traces have disappeared, and a manor, Llys Euryn of which the ruins of its 15th-century reconstruction can be seen today.
The 6th century St Trillo's Chapel (Capel Sant Trillo), which was the mother church of a large parish which included places as far apart as Eglwysbach and Eglwys Rhos (Llan Rhos). The chapel by the sea is on the site of a pre-Christian, sacred holy well; the altar is built directly over the pure water of the well. Saint Trillo, the son of Ithel Hael from Llydaw (Snowdonia) also founded a church at Llandrillo in Denbighshire. Trillo's brother Tygai (Llandygai) founded a church near Penrhyn, Bangor; their sister Llechid founded a church (Llanllechid) in the uplands above Penrhyn.
The poet and visual artist David Jones visited Rhos-on-Sea in 1904 when he was 9. It was his first ever trip to Wales and it made an enormous impression on him. His father's family lived in Rhos, and the young Jones played with his cousins at St. Trillo's Chapel, and on Bryn Euryn. He also particularly loved the fishing weir just a few yards from St. Trillos. These were formative influences both on his writing and visual art. He wrote that this visit left 'an indelible mark on my soul'. In 1937, after the death of his mother, Jones revisited Rhos. He found it a 'wilderness of villas and bungalows'. The fishing weir had gone (there remain a few stumps), and the chapel was now 'cleared and cared for', but it had 'lost half its numinous feeling'.
Llandrillo yn Rhos Church was built on the site of Ednyfed Fychan's private chapel and incorporates what was his tombstone, the history of this church goes back to the 13th century, but having been rebuilt over the centuries, the oldest parts of the present church are 15th century. A major restoration was carried out in 1857 and was criticised by some for amounting to 'vandalism', in particular the destruction of an ancient stained glass window. Nevertheless, it remains one of the most important historic buildings in North Wales. The stone lych-gate was built in 1677 and is one of the oldest in the district, the sundial is from the early 18th century.
In 1186 Llywelyn the Great permitted the establishment of the Cistercian Aberconwy Abbey, and the monks built a fishing weir on the sea shore below Bryn Euryn. The place became known as Rhos Fynach, heath of the monks. In a charter of 1230, Llywelyn sanctioned the purchase by Ednyfed Fychan of land at Rhos Fynach and in 1289, the abbey moved to Maenan (becoming Maenan Abbey), and the weir was ceded to Ednyfed's estate. Eventually Rhos Fynach and the weir came into the hands of Robert Dudley, Earl of Leicester, who in 1575 granted it to a Captain Morgan ap John ap David, a privateer, for services rendered against the enemies of Queen Elizabeth I at sea. (This is not the famous pirate of the Caribbean Captain Henry Morgan who lived in the century following).
Perhaps Rhos-on-Sea's greatest claim to fame is that, according to legend, Madog ap Owain Gwynedd, a Welsh prince of Gwynedd, sailed from here in 1170 and discovered America, over three hundred years before Christopher Columbus's famous voyage in 1492. This event is recorded by a plaque on one of the properties on the sea-front. This property is called Odstone at no. 179, Marine Drive which, as of June 2012, has become neglected.

St. Tanwg church - wales april 2016
Known as the church in the sand, St Tanwg's church is found nestled in the sand dunes, where the mountains meet the sea, at Llandanwg in North Wales. It is thought that it is one of the oldest places of continuous Christian worship in the UK and was probably founded by St Tanwg around 435AD. The existing building has been on the site since the early middle ages and over its many years has been frequently dug out of the sand, as it constantly encroaches and buries it. From inside the simple stone walls you can hear the waves on the beach even the stillest day. Soaked in the prayers of 2000 years, it is a place widely acknowledged to be ‘thin’, rooted in the earth but within easy reach of heaven. It is a refuge of solace, simplicity and peace.

St Clether chapel and Holy well
This video is of St Clether chapel and holy well. You can only get there by walking from St Clether church. The chapel is by itself in a very nice green part of Bodmin moor. There is a chapel (a new roof was put on in 2010) which is ancient with an ancient well next to it. They are both always open. The church of St Clether is open between 10:00-5:00 every day and while you are there you should have a look at that. To here the piano being played in St Clether church go on to the web link below:
Culbone Church
Culbone Church is a church in Exmoor National Park in Somerset. The church holds the title as being the smallest parish church in Britain.
The church is very remote. There is no car park and no road leading to it and visitors must walk either from the path at Culbone Village or from Porlock Weir. The church is in a wooded valley. At one time, this church was in a village but now all that is left is the church and two houses. The church is dedicated to St Beuno (pronounced Saint Bayno) who was a Welsh saint. Wales can actually be seen from the top of the path leading to the church. The church can only fit 30 people at the most and is a total of 35 feet in total length. Inside is a font, normal pews and also Jacobean square pews. There is a very small rood screen at the front and an alter. There is also a reed organ at the back. The church is Grade I listed with the cross outside being Grade II listed.
Legend has it that the spire was originally on Porlock Church but was picked up and moved to Culbone Church instead by God because of the sins of Porlock Parish.
Unsurprisingly, the church has been used in two productions. It was used as the location for John Ridd's marriage in TV version of Lorna Doone. It was also used in the 1998 hit music video for the song 'The Living Years'.
The church is part of the Diocese of Bath and Wells.

Decker's Chapel project underway
By: Deven Clarke
ST. MARYS, Pa. -- Decker's Chapel is believed to be the smallest church in the country.
Repair work to correct the deterioration of the chapel is currently underway in Elk County.
The 18 by 12 foot chapel has recently been lifted from the foundation and metal beams placed underneath.
Crews are working to repair the foundation of the 159 year-old historic landmark with additional plans for electrical repairs and painting to follow.
The project had an original funding goal for the project of about $30,000 but doubled after organizers realized the church needed more repairs that they originally thought.
More than half of the new $60,000 goal has been raised, with money also going towards the area surrounding the church.
In addition, there will be a sitting area with newly planted trees and a new parking lot.
The entire attraction will be handicap accessible.
Everybody has really supported the cause, said Fundraising Coordinator Steve Stoltz. It's kind of fun. I thought it would be a nice challenge, and it's fun everybody seems to like Decker's Chapel. Nobody ever wanted to see it go away, and it's been something that everybody has kind of embraced.
The entire project is to be completed by 2016, in time for a rededication ceremony for the 160 year anniversary.
If you would like to donate, you can visit elkcountyhistorialsociety.orgDonations are also accepted at the Stoltz Car Dealership located next to the church.
