HD St Vrain Canyon and Creek Lyons to Allenspark Colorado in High Def
St Vrain Canyon and Creek Colorado St. Vrain Creek (often known locally as the St. Vrain River) is a tributary of the South Platte River, approximately 40 miles (64 km) long, in north central Colorado in the United States. It drains part of the foothills north of Boulder and the Colorado Piedmont area in the vicinity of Longmont.
The creek is formed by the confluence of North and South St. Vrain creeks at Lyons. The creek rises in several branches in the foothills of the Front Range northwest of Boulder. Middle St. Vrain Creek rises along the continental divide, west of St. Vrain Mountain. It descends in canyon to flow along State Highway 7 and past Raymond. It joins the shorter South St. Vrain Creek just below Raymond. North St. Vrain Creek rises northeast of St. Vrain Mountain near Allenspark and descends in a canyon to the east along U.S. Highway 36. The two branches join at Lyons, at the mouth of the canyon. East of Lyons, the combined stream flows southeast through farmland and ranch country, passing south of Hygiene and entering Longmont. It passes through the south side of Longmont where it is rimmed by a greenway trail and several parks. East of Longmont it flows generally northeast, meandering through a wide river bottom in ranch country and passing under Interstate 25 south of the intersection with State Highway 66. It joins the South Platte from the west just upstream from the ruins of Fort St. Vrain and approximately 4 miles (6.4 km) northwest of Platteville.
The creek rivers Left Hand Creek south of Longmont and Boulder Creek east of Longmont.

A warm stream of early morning sunlight pours through the soft curtains as you pad across the plush carpet towards the heavy master bedroom doors. The fresh Colorado air enlivens your senses as you meander down the spacious hall through the cathedral heights of the living space; your coffee awaits you in the rustic French-inspired kitchen. It is morning in Maison Caribou, and the day awaits with endless potential in this inspired and well-endowed luxury residence.
The options are boundless; you can start by whipping up a chef-grade breakfast on the Viking stove, grabbing bites from the subzero fridge and working seamlessly through the handcrafted kitchen to whip up something delicious. You are fired up and ready to take on the exquisite day. Whether you choose to take a swim in the resistance pool, sweat it out in the fully-equipped home gym, or stroll through the manicured gardens which sit against the breathtaking backdrop of the Foothills Reservoir, Maison Caribou will get your heart pumping.
Thoughtfully crafted and inspired by Provencal France and the rustic elegance of Western Americana, this home offers you the ultimate sanctuary. You slip from room to room admiring the artistry of the wrought iron touches and the imported French woodwork. Hand-carved walnut doors and antique bath vanities create an environment of warmth and richness. A flick of a switch and you have a roaring fire alive in the heart of a Louis the Thirteenth limestone fireplace. You suddenly remember a chapter from an old novel, so you move over to the two-storey custom library to seek it out. Climbing up the custom staircase your run your fingers across the rich cherry shelves until you find it - there is nothing like a good book in the heart of the beautiful solitude of a well appointed library.
Later, guests arrive. You start at the Caribou Springs Ranch pool and spa, lounging and enjoying the great Front Range views. You migrate home; the great room buzzes with laughter and the voices of good friends mingling across the house. Some enjoy a glass of red wine - chosen from your very own wine cellar - on the balcony, while others have made their way downstairs for a game of billiards or a movie in the home theater. The separate guesthouse is made up and ready to welcome them for rest after an exciting evening.
