Tour of Graceland Mansion - Home of Elvis Presley in Memphis, Tennessee
A sunny day spent at Graceland at Elvis Presley Blvd in Memphis, Tennessee. The tour begins at the entrance to the Graceland visitor center, continuing by shuttle to the Graceland Mansion. Walking through the bottom floor with the living room, dining room, guest room, kitchen, the famous jungle room as well as the TV-room and the pool table room in the basement. Next stop is the Vernons Office and Elvis shooting range. The trophy room contains loads of unique items from Elvis life and career, everything from his birth certificate to his guns, Pricilla's wedding dress and lots more. His racquetball building also has a room where Elvis used to hang out with friends and play music. The last stop at the Mansion tour is a visit in the meditation garden where Elvis is buried.

Memphis, Tennessee: Elvis is Alive! | Traveling Robert
In this week's video we visit Memphis Tennessee.
It is running of fumes that we arrive at Memphis, Tennessee; and I'm not talking about old Kia. It is us. It has been an intense whirlwind road trip for almost two weeks now, and we are really ready for a break that won't come for another two days. I, however, am ecstatic to be staying here right next to the shore of the Mississippi. I have always been fascinated by this river mainly because of Mark Twain's stories. I can almost imagine Jim and Huck's raft coming downstream.
We ignore our fatigue and decide to explore downtown a little bit. We walk along the bank of the river enjoying a spectacular sunset. Then we walk towards historic Beale Street, which is lined up with bars, most of them featuring live music. It is a real shame we are not really in the mood for partying.
On the next day we go to the main tourist attraction in this town: Graceland. This was Elvis Presley's home all the way from the 1950's until the time of his death in 1977. Some of the room were redecorated for the tour, reflecting different eras in the life of the King of Rock and Roll. There's also a whole building dedicated to the many awards he received as well as costumes and memorabilia. There is a meditation garden where Elvis, and well as other family members are laid to rest. Across the street there are two main attractions. One of them is the two jet planes Elvis Presley acquired in 1975. The other is the automobile museum, showcasing his extensive automobile collection.
After the museum we go to one of the most famous barbeque restaurants in Memphis: Central BBQ. While it is a tough comparison, I do believe the one in St. Louis was a little more tasty, but I could have taste bud fatigue at this point so don't quote me on that.
Our last point of interest in the city is the Memphis Pyramid. It was originally conceived as an area, but something about the dimensions prevented it from becoming an NBA arena. After much financial distress, the property was leased by Bass Pro Shops, and they have built the largest over the top store. The highest freestanding elevator in the United States takes you to the top of the pyramid, where they have a restaurant and an observation deck.
We depart at sunset and spend the night in Tupelo, Mississippi, very close to Elvis Presley's birthplace. In the morning we briefly visit the site, and then spend most of the day driving south towards the Florida panhandle.

Walking Through Memphis Christmas Eve 2018
Christmas Eve at the Peabody Hotel Memphis TN
Graceland & Beale Street - Memphis, TN
Today while heading east we crossed over the mighty Mississippi River and into Tennessee! Our destination was Memphis, TN where two attractions drew us near! These two attractions were Beale Street, and Graceland the home of Elvis Presley!
We first took a ½ hour scooter ride from the campground to downtown Memphis where we stopped at the Peabody Motel to see the famous Peabody Ducks that swim in the lobby fountain! We then continued to Beale Street where we walked around, listened to some local music, and at dinner at the famous BB King Blues Club!
The following day we were able to walk right beside the campground to the huge Graceland Estate. This included an iPad guided tour of the original house, Graceland, and all of the memorabilia collected over the years of Elvis. It was overwhelming to see all of the gold records, and flashy outfits that Elvis had amassed! We also had a chance to go thru the Elvis Car Museum, and walk thru his 2 jets! The last sight you see is his grave enshrined in the back yard with other family members. This was a great tour!

A Quick Glimpse Of Beale Street & The Peabody Hotel In Memphis - B.B. King Blues Club, Peabody Ducks
Please Subscribe To Our Channel If You Haven't Already Done So - Thank you!
On a trip to Memphis, we wanted to check out the world-famous Beale Street and The Peabody Hotel in the downtown area. We had been there before on a weekend, and Beale Street was crazy! There were hundreds of people jamming the streets, and Blues music was coming out of every bar, club, and alley. This time, we went on a Thursday night, and it wasn't near as busy, but there were still quite a few people, and fortunately, the Blues music was going strong! B.B. King's Blues Club was loud and busy, and so were a lot of others. We sat on the upstairs balcony of Alfred's for a while, looking down on Beale Street, and it was great hearing all the music coming from all the open doorways! The Peabody Hotel is close-by, so we walked over there to take in it's classic charm. We went up to the rooftop Skyway area to find the Duck Palace and see the resting Peabody Ducks. After that, we called it a night, and said goodbye to Beale Street until our next trip to Memphis!
