Steinsdalsfossen or steindals waterfall is a waterfall in Hordaland commune. It is 50 m tall fall that was formed in 1699 due to river changing its direction. The most interesting thing about this waterfall is that you can walk behind the fall without getting wet. one of the famous waterfalls in Norway. very easy access from bergen city. takes about an hour and 15 minutes by local bus ( cost around 57 kr each way (2018)) or less time on private car.

The most visited waterfall where you can hike behind the cascading waters to enjoy the absolute roar of the falling waters without getting wet.
The hike is less than half a mile from the parking lot.
The Steinsdalsfossen has a fall of 46m and the fall occured in 1699 when the river changed course. Steinsdalsfossen is part of the Fosselva river that comes from the water of the lake Myklavatnet, located 814 metres (2,671 ft) above sea level in the mountains above the waterfall.
