Formula 1 : USA's Haas F1 Team Powred By Ferrari Report 1080P HD
Haas F1 Team will debut in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship in 2016, where it will become the first American-led F1 team since 1986. Founded by industrialist Gene Haas, Haas F1 Team is based in the United States on the same Kannapolis, North Carolina campus as his championship-winning NASCAR Sprint Cup Series team, Stewart-Haas Racing. Haas is the founder of Haas Automation, the largest CNC machine tool builder in North America, and he is chairman of Haas F1 Team.
Haas F1 Team (previously known as Haas Formula and Haas Racing Developments) is a Formula One racing team established by NASCAR Sprint Cup Series team co-owner Gene Haas in April 2014. The team originally intended to make its début at the start of the 2015 season, but later elected to postpone their entry until the 2016 season.
The team will be headquartered in Kannapolis, North Carolina, 50 km (31 mi) from Charlotte, alongside sister team and NASCAR Sprint Cup entrant Stewart-Haas Racing, but the two teams will be treated as separate bodies for legal reasons. The team also established a second forward base in Banbury in Oxfordshire for the purpose of turning cars around between races during the European season.
Haas have approached Italian manufacturer Dallara to design and build their chassis, with a power unit supplied by Ferrari. Former Jaguar and Red Bull Racing technical director Günther Steiner will be the team principal.
In January 2015, American GP2 driver Alexander Rossi was in negotiations to join the team. The team will announce its 2016 driver line-up by September 2015.
History
The team is the first American constructor to submit an entry since the failed US F1 project in 2010, and will be the first American team to compete since the unrelated Haas Lola outfit raced in the 1985 and 1986 seasons. The Haas Lola team was owned by former McLaren boss Teddy Mayer and Carl Haas, who is of no relation to Gene Haas.
Following the collapse of Marussia F1 during the 2014 season and the auctioning of their assets, Haas purchased the team's Banbury headquarters to serve as a forward base for their operations.
Unrestricted by testing regulations until the season the team enters the sport, Haas plans on shaking its new car down in December 2015 ahead of the start of pre-season testing the following year.
Thompson Pipe Group Now Preferred Partner Of Stewart-Haas Racing
NASCAR Xfinity Series Driver Cole Custer’s No. 00 Ford Mustang to Feature Thompson Pipe Group as Primary Partner for Three Events in 2019.
KANNAPOLIS, N.C. – Stewart-Haas Racing with Fred Biagi announces that driver Cole Custer’s No. 00 Ford Mustang will feature Thompson Pipe Group as a primary sponsor for three NASCAR Xfinity Series races in 2019.
Thompson Pipe Group will make its debut at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, California, Saturday, March 16. Two more races follow; Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, North Carolina, Saturday, May 25, and Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, Texas, Saturday, Nov. 2.
Thompson Pipe Group CEO Ken Thompson is an avid racing fan and supporter. His son Dean and Custer grew up competing against each other on a Southern California quarter-mile racetrack.
“Seems like yesterday that they were racing at the Orange Show,” Thompson said. “Eight years later, I’m not surprised to see Cole’s success.”
Custer is in his third full-time season with Stewart-Haas Racing in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. The 21-year-old from Ladera Ranch, California, has two wins, 22 top-five and 47 top-ten finishes, and six poles in 72 career Xfinity Series starts. The No. 00 Ford Mustang also claimed the 2018 NASCAR Xfinity Series Owner’s Championship.
“It’s an honor to have Thompson Pipe Group as a partner on our No. 00 Ford Mustang,” said Custer. “They’re a great company that helps provide infrastructure throughout the United States and Canada, and they’re from Southern California. We want to go out and deliver strong performances each week and deliver for Thompson Pipe Group both on and off the racetrack.”
In 2018 Thompson Pipe Group served as a primary sponsor for Custer. At Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, Texas, Custer started tenth and finished fourth.
