The family packed up and drove to Roseburg, Oregon for the Easter Weekend this year. It was really fun spending time with family doing Easter egg hunts, cooking, lounging, and flying. All but one of the filming locations are in Roseburg with the Georgia Pacific building being located in Sutherlin, one town north. Some highlights are the fish ladder, Mt. Nebo, and the Douglas County Court House. Hope you enjoy the aerial tour of the town.

Video taken days after explosives truck blew up in Roseburg Oregon 1959.
In the early morning hours of August 7, 1959 a fire at Gerretsen Building Supply Company ignited a truck parked on the adjacent street. The truck was carrying a two ton load of dynamite and four and one-half tons of ammonium nitrate. The subsequent blast leveled eight city blocks. The explosion created a crater fifty-two feet in diameter and twelve feet deep.

The river here was and I guess is always pretty low like this where you can hop around on rocks. The vegetation cropping up amongst the slow moving river makes for a good variety of visuals. As you can tell in the beginning I'm playing around with sound effects and beat editing which I thought was a nice touch.
I'm using a DJI Phantom 2 a Zenmuse h3 2d gimbal and no FPV monitor. I later acquired a monitor for FPV and played around with a FUTUBA remote while DJI software was working out the smooth operation of the gimbal sensitivity.
