WILD CAMPING ON A RIVERBANK | RIVER STOUR WALK | STODMARSH KENT
This was a lovely little 3 mile circular walk in Stodmarsh, Kent and I was joined by Candice and my mate Matt (it was his second wild camp and first one beside a river).
The route followed a large section of the River Stour and took us through the Stodmarsh National Nature Reserve with the Grove Ferry Inn (right on the riverbank) providing us with a nice break for a cider, before we headed downstream to a quieter section of the river to wild camp for the night.
The weather was perfect, although the temperature did drop a bit overnight. We all took tents with us. The route back to the cars followed the River Stour again through the nature reserve.

wild horses galloping in the snow short
We took some video of our wild horses galloping in the snow when we went to give them some extra feed and check they where OK after the snow storms.
These hardy Konik horses are used to conditions much colder than this and where enjoying themselves on Stodmarsh National Nature Reserve where they are helping to breath life back into this outstanding nature reserve.
