On the banks of West Fork River inside Stonewall Jackson Lake Wildlife Management Area, this polished, scenic resort is 10.7 miles from the Mountaineer Military Museum. Accommodations include classic lodge rooms, as well as cozy waterfront cottages with kitchens, washer/dryers, private boat launches and decks with grills. All options have flat-screen TVs and WiFi. But since the arrival of seven Segways at Stonewall Resort in Roanoake, W.Va., you can Segway your way through the hills and trails of the Mountain State. Briar Point Campground / Stonewall Resort - Campground Tour - Roanoke, West Virginia
This is a short vehicle tour of Stonewall Resort State Park, Briar Point Campground. It is open year round and is nestled in the West Virginia mountains. There are 42 reservable sites, most with full hookups. There are also 5 tent only sites. Showers and bathrooms are nice. All sites have a paved pad, with large gravel pad for the picnic table and fire ring. All sites are within walking distance to the lake. A wooded bridge connects the campground to the resort. Campers have access to the resort’s amenities. One down side, they do not allow reservations for a specific site, however you can make requests.
