6 Great Museums in Florence, Italy
There are so many things to see in Florence Italy. We picked out 6 of our favorite Museums in Florence to share. We did not get the Florence Museum Pass (aka the Firenze Card) because we needed more than 72 hours to visit all of them. In summer it is suggested that you get your Florence museum tickets early or online but in November it just wasn't necessary. Especially if you get there early. The museums of firenze are magnificent. We might suggest getting an Uffizi gallery tour as there is SOOO much to see there and a tour guide would add a lot of value.

Michelangelo’s David is one of the most important artistic sites in Florence. Created between 1501 and 1504, the David depicts the biblical hero David, just before the famous battle of David and Goliath. It was crafted by Michelangelo, one of the most iconic artists of all time. Same guy who painted the Sistine Chapel and same guy who sculpted La Pieta in St. Peter’s Basilica.

FLORENCE, ITALY-THE ITALIAN RENAISSANCE LIVES ON!
Florence is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. The Renaissance was born here and it still lives on today as evidenced by its amazing architecture. You will learn the history and little known facts about many of Florence's famous sights and you will feel like you're back in Renaissance times. We start out at the immense Florence Duomo complex which includes the Duomo, Giotto's Bell Tower, Brunelleschi's Dome, Baptistery, Museo dell'Opera del Duomo (Museum), and the Santa Reparata Crypt. We then see my (sometimes humorous) climb to the top of Brunelleschi's Dome. Then it's off to the Ponte Vecchio, the Uffizi Gallery, the Palazzo Vecchio, the Galleria dell'Accademia, a great view of Florence from the Piazzale Michelangelo, Santa Croce Church, and the good luck of the Il Porcellino fountain. Introduction to the Exhibition— Verrocchio: Sculptor and Painter of Renaissance Florence
Andrew Butterfield, exhibition curator, and president of Andrew Butterfield Fine Arts
Verrocchio: Sculptor and Painter of Renaissance Florence is the first-ever monographic exhibition in the United States on Andrea del Verrocchio (c. 1435–1488), the innovative artist, painter, sculptor, and teacher whose pupils included Leonardo da Vinci, Pietro Perugino, and likely Sandro Botticelli as well. The exhibition examines the wealth and breadth of Verrocchio's extraordinary artistry by bringing together some 50 of his masterpieces in painting, sculpture, and drawing that allow viewers to appreciate how his work in each art form stimulated creativity in the others. Groundbreaking technical research explores Verrocchio's materials and techniques, offering revelations about his artistic choices. Several carefully argued new attributions in different media are proposed in the exhibition. The National Gallery of Art is the sole American venue for the exhibition, and in this lecture, delivered on November 3, 2019, curator Andrew Butterfield provides an overview of Verrocchio’s work.

Florence Cathedral museum opens its doors to the world
If you haven't seen this, you haven't seen Florence, according to the website: of the new Opera del Duomo museum, which has opened in the capital of Italy's Tuscany region after two years of expansion and renovation.
Also known as the Florence Cathedral museum due to its location next to the famous domed basilica, it has on display the largest concentration of Florentine monumental sculpture in the world.
