Showing off some balance skills high above the ground, exploring the biggest football stadium in the EU which was abandoned for more than 20 years. Its field is still in use tho. only the area for spectators is this abandoned.

Michelle & I snuck through a locked gate to see what was inside what looked to be an abandoned Stadium. You could feel the Eastern Block influence inside the heavy industrial feel of the stadium. Kind of eerie. . .

Sparta Praha - Pribram 3:1, STRAHOV STADIUM (!!!), Czech Cup
That was a great surprise when arrived at Letna Stadium to watch this game and found out that apparently match was played on Great Strahov Stadium where Sparta's training centre is located. Even though I missed first half I couldn't miss that opportunity to visit Strahov Stadium as every one was keep telling that this place is not in use for official games anymore!
If you don't know what Strahov Stadium is - have a look at Wikipedia ( as it used to be the biggest stadium on the world with capacity of around 250,000 (!!!) and 9 (!!!) football pitches! Amazing!
Don't know whose decision it was to play this game on Thursday at 1.30pm but it was quite interesting to be a part of it. Sparta won 3:1 watched by around 600 supporters with no support at all. It was more like a friendly game. Anyway - happy to watch a game at Strahov!

Hey everyone! Took a trip to an abandoned stadium here in Prague! It used to hold over 200,000 people and is currently used as a practice facility for Sparta, the Prague soccer team.

Fra Wikipedia: The Spartakiads in Czechoslovakia were mass gymnastics events, designed to celebrate the Red Army's liberation of Czechoslovakia in 1945. They were organised by the Communist government. The Spartakiads took place at the Strahov Stadium.
