Un week-end Ibérique pour voir le Tren De La Fresa (Train de la fraise).
Chaque année pour fêter la fraise, le museo del ferrocarril Madrid organise un week-end vapeur entre Madrid et Aranjuez.
Essayant de changer de locomotive vapeur chaque année, nous avons cette année une 141 type F numéro 2111.

Each year to celebrate the strawberry, the museo del ferrocarril Madrid organizes a weekend steam between Madrid and Aranjuez.
Trying to change the steam locomotive each year, this year we have an 141 type F 2111.

Despite being a somewhat Modern capital city, Madrid still has some historic gems to enjoy.
One of our favourite finds recently has been the Tren del la Fresa (Strawberry Train) which is an amazing historic train journey from the sprawling Madrid to the regal Aranjuez, the old spring getaway for Spanish royalty. If you've ever spent any time in Madrid when it's hot you'll undertand the need to get out of the city for a bit.

Tren de la Fresa
In the summer month Renfe put a steam special on the road. It leaves at 10:00 am Madrid and goes to Aranjuez. The train is pulled by the 1996 rebuilt Garrat locomotive 282F-0421. The locomotive has about 1800 HP.

Trenes de renfe Railview tren de la fresa Aranjuez-Delicias
Railview desde la cola del tren de la fresa en el trayecto de vuelta Aranjuez-Museo del ferrocarril de Delicias. El tren se esta haciendo ahora con una maquina diesel electrica de la serie 333 de renfe mercancias, estaria mejor una maquina de vapor pero bueno al menos gracias a esto el tren sigue circulando, este año sale con 3 coches (2 costas y 1 5000) por que tenemos otros coches costa pasando una gran revision. Espero que os guste el video y lo dsifruteis.

Class 253 locomotives have been built by Bombardier, being of type TRAXX, works at 3kV CC and develops 5600kW with a max. speed 140km/h. Date: 08/09/2012.
