Sugbo Mercado IT Park - Food Tour - Cebu City Vlog
The Sugbo Mercado at IT Park in Cebu City is wild! It's a Filipino food tour for those who love it all, also some of the best lechon I had in Cebu. It's got amazing Filipino street food, live music, drinks and everything else in a fun filled environment. This Sugbo Mercaso IT Park vlog was from one of my first days in Cebu City and I loved it. In fact we went back to the Sugbo Market to enjoy the night market again before I left Cebu City in the Philippines.
We tried a lot of dishes, my favourite being the lechon, the lechon at the IT Park night market was unreal. We tried lechon other places but none of it compared to this. Maybe because it was my first lechon ever? I don't know. Either way, the IT Park in Cebu City is worth visiting, it's a sophisticated place with a cool vibe about it. If you're visiting Cebu City I highly recommend you do a street food tour at the IT Park, you'll be glad you did. Lucky for me I was living right near the Sugbo Market so it was easy, very very easy haha.
Information About Sugbo Market: A Filipino Food Experience You Don’t Want to Miss
For every foodie out there travelling to the Philippines, your trip won’t be complete without a stop at Sugbo Market. Visiting this weekend food market in Cebu City’s IT Park might put you into a food-induced coma, but it will be totally worth it.
Even if you don’t consider yourself a “foodie” per se, this is a great spot to hang with friends, meet some locals, and experience Filipino culture and tradition at its finest. Not to mention you’ll be able to indulge in some of the most mouthwatering food and beverages in Cebu City.
Out of the 7,000+ islands in the country, a lot of people agree that the best food-related experience is here at Sugbo. Here’s what you need to know about visiting this market and a few tips to follow as you wander around the food booths.
Where is Sugbo Mercado located?
Sugbo is part of the Cebu City IT Park. Now there are actually a couple of locations for the Sugbo Mercado, but be sure to visit the main one in the IT Park. This area is a city hotspot, and not just for the food scene.
No matter if you can walk or have to grab a ride from one of the public jeeps, finding the market is easy. Just follow the hungry-looking throngs of people heading there as well. Everyone in Cebu speaks English, so feel free to ask a friendly local if you need help getting there.
When is the market open?
Since this is technically called the “Weekend Food Market” you would assume it is only open for business on Saturday and Sunday, maybe Friday too. Well this is not the case; in Cebu they apparently consider Thursday to be the start of the weekend. You can visit the market anytime between Thursday to Sunday from 5pm to 1am.
How much money does the food cost?
This obviously depends on what you’re ordering - and how much of it you order - but everything is pretty cheap here. The Philippines is known to be cheap in general, and Sugbo is no exception. To put things into perspective, a portion of monster ribs costs about $3 USD.
What kind of food is offered here?
Literally EVERYTHING. There might be a few things that don’t float your boat - like pig’s blood and grilled intestines - but there is definitely something you’ll enjoy. You can chow down on everything from surf and turf and fried chicken to veggie spring rolls and cheesy scallops.
I’ll be honest, if you’re vegetarian or vegan you might be a bit turned off. In Filipino culture, meat is a huge staple, so of course there is a lot of meat and seafood offered here. But don’t let that stop you from enjoying yourself, you’ll still have options and leave feeling completely satisfied.
When is the best time to go?
You might assume that things have died down at the market after 10pm or so, but this is not the case at all. Late night is actually the busiest time at the market, so if you’re hoping to eat your food in peace avoid visiting late at night.
If you want a relaxing experience, head there for an early dinner right when the market opens. After about 6pm onwards, things start to get a bit crazy. Anyone wanting a few alcoholic beverages will love it here. You can mix vodka with fresh squeezed lemonade or orange juice.
Tips for Your Visit to Sugbo
The main piece of advice from people who have visited Sugbo is to take a lap around the entire place before ordering anything. The problem that a lot of people face is over ordering too early on. You’ll be tempted to order something as soon as you start at the first food booth, but just hold off and get a lay of the land first.
The next tip is to order small portions. If you want to try as much as possible, order lots of small things instead of A LOT of one thing. And remember that sharing is caring, you can always order more. If you do plan on sharing, a helpful tip is to ask the vendor to cut things into shareable portions. Like if you order a rack of ribs, ask the nice Filipino lady to split the slab up for you.
Feasting at Cebu's Sugbo Mercado Weekend Street Food Market, IT Park, Cebu City, Philippines
Sugbo Mercado is a weekend night street food market, one of the biggest food markets in Cebu, that opens Thursdays to Sundays at 6 pm down to the wee hours of the night. The place is packed with people feasting on different varieties of local and Asian cuisines that include seafood, barbecued or grilled meats including lechon baboy, native chickens, pork bellies, grilled fish, among others. The different food kiosks in the market also sell refreshing fruit juices, milk teas, and desserts. Apart from the food, entertainment is also provided through live acoustic music.

CRAZIEST FILIPINO STREET FOOD MARKET EVER - Sugbo Mercado in Cebu City
During our last day in Cebu we finally got to visit Sugbo Mercado a very modern Filipino street food market in the center of Cebu City. Sugbo Mercado street food vendors offer traditional filipino street food dishes and street food with a modern twist.
During our visit we got to try Filipino chicken liver skewers, Filipino Chicken Kidney skewers I believe the names are atay and isaw. We had the filipino baboy which are Filipino grilled pork ribs, fried krabs called talangka and of course the amazing traditional Filipino Lechon. The grilled filipino street food was just amazing.

FEASTING at Cebu Philippines Night Market: BEST Roast Chicken!
It's my first time in Cebu Philipines and on the first night, we stopped at a local night market called Sugbo Mercado. It's a fairly modern night market with lots of fusion dishes as well as some traditional Filipino eats.
What I LOVED the most here at this night market in Cebu Philippines is my first stop of the night, at an all natural roast chicken food booth that has the most delicious roast chicken and chicken soup! The chicken soup more than anything made my taste buds sing!
This is my first stop in Cebu and can't wait to eat more!

SUGBO MERCADO FOOD TOUR | Cebu Philippines Travel Guide
Cebu IT Park is alot like BGC in Manila with places open for 24 hours a day and people always roaming the streets. On this Vlog we head to Sugbo Mercado which is a weekend Filipino Street Food Market with plenty of delicious food options! From Scallops to Lechon to Ube Shakes and even Sisig, Sugbo Mercado is one of the most popular lively and tasty spots to visit when in Cebu!
We also flashback to Barcelona, Spain to my favorite seafood restaurant Ciudad Condal and try their special Lobster Paella.
After visiting Sugbo Mercado, we roam around Cebu IT Park to see what other food and drink spots and nightlife goes down in this popular spot in the Philippines!

For the cuisine, they have bounty options like Filipino, Thai, Arabian, Japanese & alot more.

I just had another amazing food trip at Sugbo Mercado courtesy of Cebu Pacific Air. In this dinner, I got food inspired from the top destinations served by the country's top airline. I had Cansi from Bacolod, dumplings from Hongkong, drinks from Japan, Seafood steamboat from Singapore, ramyeon from Korea, and Ice Cream from Cagayan de Oro.
Our favorite weekend food market, Sugbo Mercado, turns 4 this month and you should join the CEBxSugboMercado promo to win FREE flights for your next food trip destination.
【4K】Sugbo Mercado, Cebu, Philippine
Sugbo Mercado- located at Cebu I.T. Park (Apas, Cebu City, Philippines). It's an open air food market with many stalls and live bands inside. This was open on September 25, 2015 and the main goal was to be the first and the biggest year-round weekly food market in Cebu.
Sugbo Mercado offers a wide variety of food at its affordable price. The market, in fact, has showcased a lot of interesting and delicious cuisines both local and international.
There are tables and chairs available for everyone. The set-up is outdoor so apparently there is no roof so you'd better take an umbrella with you during rainy days. They are open from Thursday- Sunday at 5 p.m. to 1 a.m. Since food gets people together, this place is a perfect destination when the weekends hit.
You can hang out with your family, workmates and friends and share your best stories and experiences. The place is easy to locate because most everyone knows the location.
However, don't be confused between Sugbo Mercado I.T. Park and Sugbo Mercado Mactan. So what are you waiting ? Visit and indulge yourself at Sugbo Mercado.
