【Tokyo Sightseeing#5】Let's cruise in Asakusa, Sumida River, Tokyo Bay by Tokyo Cruise water bus!
We will introduse the water bus of Tokyo Cruise sailing from Asakusa this time. After having enjoyed sightseeing in Asakusa, how about that you go to Hamarikyu Garden and Odaiba Seaside Park of the popular tourist spot while you enjoying cruises from Azuma Bridge, Sumida River to Tokyo Bay?
If you leave Kaminari-mon Gate of Senso-ji Temple, the embarkation place of Tokyo Cruise is about 200 meters away to the left. From Asakusa, there are two linse of Sumida River line going to Hinode Pier via Hamarikyu Garden and Asakusa-Odaiba line going to Odaiba Seaside Park.
This time, we will introduce a trip that go to Hinode Pier via Hamarikyu Garden from Asakusa by River Town of Sumida River line at first, and change to Hotaluna of Asakusa-Odaiba line there and go to Odaiba Seaside Park. (The fare was 1,560 yen in total.)

【4K】Sakura at Sumida river
Not a vlog, no intrusive faces or talking, pure Japan only.
Sumida park is one of famous sakura places. Park is located near Asakusa station going to the north on both sides of the river with additional area on the eastern side. So I walked it whole and in the end I filmed Sensoji temple a bit, mostly looking for jyaga bata.
This video was filmed in the beginning of sakura blooming but it took more than a week and several reuploads to get it in 4K.

This is Part 12 of our 10 Days Fantastic Spring Holiday in Japan, May 2018. This part covers our Sumida River Cruise from Asakusa to Odaiba. Odaiba is a large artificial island in Tokyo Bay. We arrived at Odaiba at night, so we could enjoy Odaiba with a beautiful view of Tokyo City lights especially the Rainbow Bridge. We're really enjoy this trip......

【4K】Tokyo Sumida river straight walk for treadmill
Not a vlog, no intrusive faces or talking, pure Japan only.
After long time I filmed straight walk without looking around specially for treadmill as some people asked. Walk is going from Kayabacho to Asakusa mostly along Sumida river. In one place I had to pass through city to cross smaller river.
Same time I tested Audiotechnica mic I bought recently. It has better stereo separation but it also catches sounds behind including my breath. There is also low pass filter that can hide breath sounds better but I need to test how sound changes in general.

TOKYO is actually a city of water, and Sumida River has acted as TOKYO's gateway to the sea since ancient times. This access to the ocean has always attracted both people and business. While you'll on board, you'll see many ships sailing on the river and even the Tokyo Bay.
These unique glass boat taxis is really popular in Japan, especially for the tourists. You can be boarded without reservation as the boat depart frequently.

The Sumida River 隅田川 is a river which flows through Tokyo, Japan. It branches from the Arakawa River at Iwabuchi and flows into Tokyo Bay. Its tributaries include the Kanda and Shakujii rivers.
The Sumida runs through Tokyo for 27 kilometers, under 26 bridges spaced at about one bridge per kilometer. It passes through the following wards of Tokyo: 北区 Kita, 足立区 Adachi, 荒川区 Arakawa, 墨田区 Sumida, 台東区 Taito, 江東区 Kōtō, 中央区 Chūō.
What is now known as the Sumida River was previously the path of the Ara-kawa, however towards the end of the Meiji era work was carried out to divert the main flow of the Ara-kawa to prevent flooding.

Walking Tour of Tokyo - Odaiba, Sumida River Cruise and Asakusa
We went walkabout in Tokyo visited Odaiba waterfront, took a water bus on the Sumida River to end our day in Asakusa. On a very hot summer day, but the visits were worth the effort.
