旧国幣中社・壱岐・住吉神社 (Iki - Sumiyoshi Shrine)
住吉神社は全国各地に数多く存在していますが、今回ご紹介するのは壱岐にある住吉神社です。
旧社格は国幣中社。壱岐に存在する唯一の旧官国弊社。
住吉大神の守護によって三韓征伐を為し遂げた神功皇后が、その帰途、現在の壱岐市郷ノ浦町大浦触に上陸して底筒男命・中筒男命・表筒男命の三神を祀ったのがこの神社の始まりです。
故に、日本初の住吉神社とも言われています。
Sumiyoshi Shrine is a Shinto Shrine in the city of Iki in Nagasaki Prefecture, Japan.
Under the pre-World War Ⅱ Modern system of ranked Shinto Shrines, the shrine was classified as a national shrine of the middle rank.
This Shrine is the oldest shrine that enshrines the Sumiyoshi sanjin.

The Hankai Tramway operates two tramlines from southern Osaka to Sakai City (堺市). This tramline service dates back to the early 1900s. A variety of sleek and modern as well as vintage models dating back to 1928 run on the Hankai tramlines.
Sumiyoshi taisha (also known as Sumiyoshi Grand Shrine) is a Shinto (神道) shrine in Sumiyoshi ward in Osaka. It is the main shrine of all the Sumiyoshi shrines in Japan. However, the oldest shrine that enshrines the Sumiyoshi sanjin (住吉三神), the three Sumiyoshi kami (神), is the Sumiyoshi shrine in Hakata (博多区).
It is called Sumiyoshi-san or Sumiyossan by the locals, and is famous for the large crowds that come to the shrine on Japanese New Year's Day for hatsumōde (初詣).
Sumiyoshi taisha enshrines the Sumiyoshi tanjin—Sokotsutsu no Onomikoto, Nakatsutsu no Onomikoto, and Uwatsutsu no Onomikoto—and Okinagatarashihime no Mikoto (Empress Jingū/神功皇后), and they are collectively known as the Sumiyoshi Ōkami, the great gods of Sumiyoshi. Another term is Sumiyoshi no Ōgami no Miya. It gives its name to a style of shrine architecture known as Sumiyoshi-zukuri.

JAPAN VLOG: Riding the Oldest Tram in Tokyo - Tokyo Sakura Tram (Toden Arakawa Line)
INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO RIDE THE TOKYO SAKURA TRAM:
If you’re interested in riding the Tokyo Sakura Tram, all you need to do is go to one of the tram platforms, and board through the front door. Once on, you can pay the 170 yen fare with an IC card like a Suica or a Pasmo, or with cash. In addition, the 700 yen Toei one day pass, which can be bought at machines in Toei subway stations or on the tram, works on the tram. If you just want unlimited rides on just the tram, you can buy a one day tram pass for 400 yen on the tram or at the Arakawa streetcar office. No “tapping out” is necessary when leaving the tram.

This is just a short vlog I filmed during my summer vacation away from the University of Oxford when I was working in Japan! The Nagasaki Electric Tramway is a tram system in Nagasaki city, Japan. It has five lines totaling 11.5 km. This movie is the main line Route 1 from Shokakuji-Shita to Akasako via Nagasaki-ekimae [JR Nagasaki Station] in 2012.
This tram is Type 1300 which is operated by the driver without a conductor. It has twin 38kW motors of nose suspension drive, and the straight air brake system.

▶ Hoshi no Buranko location :
Hoshi no Blanco Bridge, in Hoshida Enchi Park, is a rope bridge that spans 280 meters and hangs 50 meters over the valley below.
It can be reached by a 50 minute hike from Kisaichi station, a few stops from Hirakata station.
It is located near the botanical gardens where the Kisaichi Amanogawa event is held in August.

Fukuoka Day 1 - Morning Shrine Visit, lunch at Kawabata Shopping Arcade, dinner at Canal City
It's our first day in Fukuoka, we visited Sumiyoshi Shrine, Tochoji Temple, Shofukuji Temple, & Kushida Shrine in the morning before having lunch and doing some window shopping at Kawabata Shopping Arcade.
We went back to our house after lunch to rest our tired feet and went to Canal City for dinner. On the way we meet this lovely kabayan who settled down in Hakata.

I took short a 5 days winter vacation trip to Hakata, Fukuoka.
It was rather quiet during the New Year season in Japan since many people spend time with their families during this period.
It was my first time experiencing a Japanese New Year.
I tried osechi for the first time, hatsumode (first shrine visit of the year) and ate lots of mochi.
It was lovely.

둘째날 숙소 근처에 유명한 신사가 있어서 방문해보았습니다.
스미요시 신사라는 곳인데 관광객들이 많이 보러가더군요.
곧 비가 올것 같은 날씨여서 우중충한 느낌이지만 생각보다는 분위기 좋은 신사였습니다.
스미요시 신사는 전국에 2,129개가 된다고 하며 그 중에서 가장 오래된 신사가 바로 여기 후쿠오카에 있는 곳이라고 하네요. 후쿠오카 내에서도 매우 유명하고 신성히 여겨지는 곳이라고 합니다. 한번 쯤 가볼만해요! 생각보다 크지않은 자그마한 신사였습니다.
스마요시 신사 다음으로 방문한 곳은 신사 근처에 위치한 도심 속의 작은 정원인 라쿠스이엔 입니다. 여기는 여러 종류의 꽃들과 나무들이 있는 예쁜 정원입니다. 단, 꽃이 피는 시기에 가면 정말 예쁜데 겨울이나 초봄에 가면 볼 것이 많이 없어요. 아주아주 작은 크기고 엄청 조용합니다. 관광객들도 제법 방문하구요.
여기서는 다도체험을 할 수 있어요. 입장료 100엔과 다도체험 300엔을 내어 모두 즐길 수 있어요. 다다비방에 들어가 녹차와 다과를 즐기며 편안히 이야기 할 수 있는 곳입니다. 일본의 정서를 느끼기에는 좋은 곳인거 같아요. 여기도 신사 들리면서 한번 가보면 좋을 것 같습니다.
