The American Invitational, one of the world's richest equestrian show jumping competitions. The Invitational is the only major equestrian competition to be held in a NFL football stadium.
Invitations are sent to the top thirty equestrians from the United States Equestrian Federation National Ranking List that include past and present Olympians among other top invitees. The star-studded line-up will compete for $200,000 in prize money, one of the largest purses in the sport.
Annually, this event showcases exhilarating equine power, speed, and excellence on the home field of the Sunlife Stadium. The day is filled with extraordinary entertainment and activities for the entire family to enjoy.
To kick off the evening activities, the public is invited to participate in the traditional American Invitational course walk. This is an opportunity for spectators to marvel at the size and breadth of the jumps equestrians will navigate their horses over.

Baisden, who now has four best-selling books to his credit, has hosted two national television shows, and has recently produced three feature films.

It's always good to have someone with his reputation, credibility, popularity and love for a really good show on our team, said Miami Gardens Mayor Oliver Gilbert. The 2012 Jazz in the Gardens featured performances from legendary artists including Mary J. Blige, Jill Scott, Patti LaBelle, KEM, Kenny G, Doug E Fresh, Kevin Eubanks, Ramsey Lewis and Nicole Henry. Previous years have included celebrated artists such as Erykah Badu, John Legend, Robin Thicke, the late Teena Marie, Wyclef, Babyface, Frankie Beverly and Maze, Chaka Khan, Chrisette Michele, Common, Anthony Hamilton, Ms. Lauryn Hill, Al Jarreau, Gladys Knight, The Isley Brothers, EnVogue, Lalah Hathaway, Branford Marsalis and Roy Ayers.

The 2014 International Champions Cup (or ICC) was a friendly association football tournament played in the United States and Canada. It began on Thursday, 24 July 2014 when Olympiacos defeated Milan 3–0 at BMO Field in Toronto, and ended on Monday, 4 August 2014 at Sun Life Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida. This tournament followed the 2013 edition and was staged throughout the United States, with one match held in Canada (Toronto). The participating teams were Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United of England, Milan, Internazionale and Roma of Italy, Olympiacos of Greece and defending champions Real Madrid of Spain. Manchester United won the tournament, having beaten Liverpool 3–1 in the final.
The group match between Real Madrid and Manchester United at Michigan Stadium had an attendance of 109,318, a record crowd for a soccer match in the United States.
