St Petersburg's Sunken Gardens
The Sunken Gardens were created by draining a shallow lake that filled an ancient sinkhole. The four acre botanical garden is 15' below the street hence the name, Sunken Gardens. It was established in 1935 making it the oldest roadside attraction in the United States.

The US Botanic Garden has one of the best displays in Washington, D.C.
Durint the holidays, they display replica versions of national monuments from around the city, throughout the atrium. They are each made entirely of leaves, twigs, flowers, and other natural material. There is also a large train display inside the Pollination Station. I hope you enjoy this scenery video. Sunken Gardens - 27th & Capitol Parkway - Lincoln, Nebraska - July 8th 2017
Sunken Gardens features an annual floral display that consists of over 30,000 individual annual plants which are redesigned to a different theme each year. The theme for 2017 is Purple Reign.
As the only Nebraska garden listed in the “300 Best Gardens to Visit in the United States and Canada” by National Geographic Guide to Public Gardens, this is a special place to many. Located at 27th and Capital Parkway, this 1.5 acre lot was first developed in 1930 and most recently renovated in 2004. Visitors can tiptoe through the tulips every spring and watch the thousands of annuals bloom all summer long and then enjoy the peaceful winter interest of the varied trees and shrubs.

The Vinoy originally known as Vinoy Park Hotel was built in 1925 named after Aymer Vinoy Laughner, a wealthy Pennsylvania Businessman. It was built in just 10 months and opened on New Years Eve 1925. After sitting unoccupied for 18 years, it was rebirthed in May of 1990. In 2008 it received a 3.5 million renovation.
Today The Vinoy Renaissance is a pouplar vacation destination and event venue, as well as being the chose hotel for most of the professional baseball teams who play the Tampa Bay Rays at nearby Tropicana Field.
The Tea Garden very popular for weddings is not only a beautiful outdoor area, but also has a beautiful permanent tent Pavilion for a comfortable reception.
The Sunset Ballroom located at the Vinoy Golf Club is 2 miles away from the main building on Snell Isle.
