Sunset cruise in Langkawi Malaysia with Crystal Yacht Holidays
We headed out into the waters around Langkawi with Crystal yacht Holidays. The Crystal yacht sunset dinner cruise was an amazing family-friendly experience.
The Langkawi sunset cruise lasted a little over 3 hours. The sunset cruise allowed is to go swimming in the net behind the boat. The Langkawi sunset dinner was amazing, the crew bbq'd the meat on deck and prepared some traditional Malaysian dishes for us to try.
The sunset cruise is certainly one of the best things to do in Langkawi Malaysia. Sunset, dinner, and free drinks during the cruise. The cruise sets out from Resorts World Langkawi.
Resorts World Langkawi is about a 15-minute drive from Cenang Beach area. Cenang Beach is where most tourists will stay in Langkawi. Best bet is to get a CRAB to Resorts World.

Rice and Curry, Parasailing, and Sunset Dinner Cruise in Langkawi (Day 5)
►Blog:

Day 5 traveling in Langkawi was one of the best days so far, with an amazing mix of Malaysian food, museums, adventure sports, and finally ending the day with a dinner sunset cruise and a relax time at the natural jacuzzi spa. We started the day for breakfast at a restaurant called Nasi Dagang Pak Malau, a beautiful little restaurant on the edge of the rice field that serves a Malaysian food called nasi dagang. The owner and his wife and family were extremely nice, and they welcomed us to their restaurant and served us an outstanding restaurant. So far, this is probably my favorite restaurant in Langkawi. Nasi dagang is typically supposed to just be rice with fish curry, but I also added in a hunk of mutton korma to make things even better. The rice was fragrant and the curries were outstanding (full video coming soon).
After a marvelous breakfast, we continued to Mahsuri's Tomb and Museum, which is a very famous place to visit. I’m not sure I fully understand the full story yet, but it’s about a girl named Mahsuri, who was so beautiful that she was the center of jealousy on Langkawi island. She was sentenced to death because of her beauty, and as she died she laid a curse on Langkawi saying the island would be barren and unproductive for 7 generations. Somehow, that turned to be true, and just recently Langkawi finished 7 generations and has now become extremely prosperous and is one of the biggest tourism destinations in Malaysian now.
Naam Watersports is a fantastic watersports company in Langkawi, and they are extremely safe and knowledgeable about the sports they offer. It was my first time to go parasailing and it was an incredible experience. The views from above were amazing, and it was quite a thrilling ride as well. We spent a few minutes browsing through the Langkawi Craft Complex, and then went to the Mardi Agrotechnology Park, a fruit and vegetable farm. We took a short fruit tour, where we were able to see fruit trees, and then sample some fresh fruit right from the far. The farm was small, but fun to see, especially if you love fruit. For lunch we ate at Restoran Siti Fatimah, a local nasi campur (rice and curry) restaurant. I chose a few different fish dishes, piled them onto my rice, and ate them together with some herbs and chili sauce. This is one of my favorite styles of Malaysian food, it’s just so good.
After spending a few minutes at a waterfall, we then drove to the boat jetty to catch our sunset dinner cruise with Naam Watersports aboard the Sea Falcon. It was by far the nicest boat I had ever been on. The views of the ocean and the peacefulness of being on the boat was the real highlight for me. It was an amazing experience!

Langkawi Sunset Cruise | Naam Adventures
It's a pretty safe bet that I'm going to be signing up for anything that includes wine, a dinner cruise, and an absolutely memorable, picture-perfect sunset. When I landed on Langkawi and started asking around at the Meritus Pelangi Beach for recommendations on the best cruise operator, the team there shared that they favour Naam and recommended their 3-hour evening dinner cruise on the Sea Falcon so I signed up to go a few days later. Since I was just one person and staying at the jungle hotel Ambong Ambong (and not one of the main luxury properties they have scheduled pickups at), they provided very swish transfer service in a shiny black sedan that felt wonderfully VIP following days of vans and taxis.
#langkawi #naamadventures #travelvlogger
Ohhhh and it turns out I was the only non-Chinese guest aboard that night and I had a hoot and a half! The wine was flowing, the food was actually really yummy, and the ambiance on the Sea Falcon was perfect. A bit of a party at the beginning, and then we went into a chill-out vibe closer to sunset.
NOTE: for the first time in over a year, I accidentally deleted the video footage I shot on my Nikon while transferring files. So, what you'll see is still fun but it's sadly an 'Angela show' because it's what I shot from my iPhone. I'm so sad, as I shot some amazing footage that night. Anyway, do check it out, it's just missing the long shots and food and boat interior images.

Sunset Cruise in Langkawi
Langkawi, Malaysia - What To Do On Your Day In Port
This is a short video about what you might do if Langkawi, Malaysia is a port stop on your cruise. We decided to just walk into the town. It was about 3 miles each way from the ship. We spent 3 - 4 hours ashore. Langkawi is a nice, tropical island. The people there were very friendly. We spent money on Drinks at a beach bar and some souvenirs. We decided to take cab back to the ship when we found out it was only $3 US. When we left the ship the cab drivers wanted $12.50 US to take us to town. We were planning on walking the whole time. We've noticed that quite often it is cheaper to return to a ship than to leave the port. We did go into several stores to shop for souvenirs and buy water. We just didn't record the shopping.
At Port Monkeys we sometimes just walk around in a port. Other times we purchase a ship sponsored shore excursion or a purchase a tour from a third party tour on shore.
We hope you enjoy the videos and your next cruise.

Mangrove Tour in Langkawi (Day 4)

On Day 4 in Langkawi we started the day by heading to the Kilim Geo Park Mangrove, which is a park in Langkawi dedicated to preserving the mangroves. The best way to get around is to rent a boat, so we had a boat that took us around to a variety of different stops. After getting in the boat our first stop was the bat cave, which was filled with bats. After checking out the bats we continued back into the boat and stopped at a place called Gua Langsir, which was kind of like a crater that fills with water depending on the tide of the ocean.
After visiting a variety of different sites we continued on the mangrove tour by just cruising on the boat. It was nice to just sit and relax and enjoy the cool breeze as we glided through the water. Mangrove trees are very important in Langkawi and they are protected on the island. After riding the boat around for a while we continued on to a section where there are a number of different floating restaurants. We stopped at Hold in The Wall Restaurant to first go to the fish farm. They had quite a nice selection of huge fish, and they fed them. It was very interesting to see, especially the stingray. The stingray felt like an elephant, but slimy.
We had lunch at Hole in The Wall Floating restaurant on the Langkawi mangrove tour, but the food was not good. It was salty and sweet, but overpriced and I think the flavors were very toned down - quite touristy.
After the Langkawi mangrove tour we had a little extra time, and so with the help of our guide and driver, we stopped at a local Malaysian wedding taking place at someones house right along the road. I’m going to edit a full video about this experience, because it was incredible, but in the Langkawi video I just included a quick teaser.
Finally, for dinner we went to The Andaman hotel and ate at The Japanese Restaurant. Overall the Japanese food was pretty good.
