Most Epic Maui Whale Watch EVER - part 2
Check out this close-up humpback whale watching encounter just off the shores of west Maui! Often referred to as a whale ‘mugging,’ these two guys were extremely fortunate to get the whale watch of a lifetime as they prepared to go scuba diving:
Filmed off of the coast of west Maui’s Lahaina Town, this video was captured from a 10 foot zodiac boat on an iPhone and a GoPro and is one of the closest encounters we’ve ever seen on film!
If you plan to travel to Maui, Hawaii, from the period of mid December to mid May, you’re just in time to witness the Aloha State’s favorite time of year: whale season. The 5th largest species of whale in the world, these majestic humpbacks make their annual journey from the shores of Alaska to Hawaii each year in order to mate, give birth and nurse their young in the warm, shallow waters surrounding Hawaii. On Maui in particular, humpback whales particularly seem to love the shallow and protected Au’au Channel, which lies conveniently between west Maui and our neighbor island of Lanai.
While chasing after humpbacks is strictly prohibited, it’s a truly memorable experience when they take the time to approach you instead! You can see these stunning creatures during whale season on Maui on one of many popular whale watching tours, whether by boat with Kai Kanani and Redline Rafting or by outrigger canoe, stand up paddleboard or kayak with Hawaiian Paddle Sports and Maui Kayak Adventures. Additionally, you’re often even lucky enough to spot them from shore while lounging at the beach! Just remember to always pull over, park and get out of your car if the sudden urge to whale watch while driving hits.
When viewing them from the water, you may even get lucky enough to hear the males as they sing, and witness the many playful behaviors they exhibit on the surface of the water, including fluke up and down dives, blowing, pec and tail slapping, spy hopping, head slapping and breaching.
Truly an unforgettable experience in Maui, we recommend whale season for new and return visitors to The Valley Isle. Aloha!

Nakalele Blowhole - Water shoots 100 feet in the air, Maui, Hawaii USA || Telugu Vlogs from USA
Nakalele Point is a land mass on the eastern edge of the northern tip of the island of Maui in the state of Hawaiʻi. In Hawaiian, Nakalele or Nakalele means the leaning. The Point is known for its blowhole and has become notable for its dangerous conditions when waves crash in. The point and blowhole are located just east of Poelua Bay.
Blowhole
Nakalele Point is famous for a blowhole which produces powerful geyser-like water spouts with the waves and tides. Water spewed from the blowhole can rise as high as 100 feet in the air. Visitors to the site should never stand between the blowhole and the ocean, and visitors should never turn their backs on the ocean as rogue waves could cause injury at anytime. Only one person is confirmed to have been sucked into the blowhole and died.
The banyan tree in Lahaina, in Maui, Hawaii, United States, was planted on April 24, 1873, in Lahaina to mark the 50th anniversary of the arrival of first American Protestant mission. The banyan tree (Ficus benghalensis) known in Hawaiian as paniana, located in the Courthouse Square, which was renamed Banyan Tree Park covering 1.94 acres, is not only the largest in the state but also in the United States. The tree was a gift from missionaries in India. A mere 8 feet (2.4 m) when planted, it has grown to a height of about 60 feet (18 m) and has rooted into 16 major trunks, apart from the main trunk, with the canopy spread over an area of about 0.66 acres (0.27 ha).
Lahaina Jodo Mission
Head west from Lahaina's Front Street toward Baby Beach and you'll discover the Lahaina Jodo Mission. Established in a private house in 1912 to propagate Buddhism in Lahaina, the temple moved to its present location in 1931. This serene destination looks and feels more like Japan than Maui and features one of the largest statues of the Buddha outside of Asia.
The mission is a replica of an authentic Japanese Buddhist temple. Explore these peaceful grounds and you'll discover a towering pagoda and an enormous bronze Buddha statue, 12 feet high and roughly 3 ½ tons. The statue was installed in 1968 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the arrival of Japanese immigrants in Hawaii. The grounds and buildings of the mission are open to the public and voluntary contributions are accepted.

Ohana Tacos, Napili-Honokowai (Lahaina), Maui, Hawaii
This is a brief view of the Ohana Tacos outlet on Lower Honoapiilani Road just up from the ABC Store and the Aston Papakea Resort. This is in a strip mall at the other end of where The Fish Market is. I liked the fish tacos here but this, as you can see, a really tiny place. A significant negative to me is a lack of a liquour license meaning no nice Mexican beer with your meal.

Maui Island Of Hawaii
The Hawaiian island of Maui is a destination for true nature lovers. The ethereal bamboo forest and churning waterfalls in Haleakala National Park can be explored via the Waimoku Falls Trail. Stretch out on warm, golden sands or hit the surf for an unforgettable windsurfing or snorkeling session. Driving the scenic road to Hana along the island’s northeastern shore will be among the most spectacular journeys of your life. Time stands still at the Hawaiian village of Keanae, definitely worth a visit.
Maui October 2013 - UPDATED
I couldn't leave it alone so I'm uploading an enhanced version of our Maui adventures. Added titles, credits, 3D effects on some of the stills, and smoothed out some rough spots. Thanks HP
Mary Lu and I took off to Maui to celebrate our 33rd Anniversary and my 60th birthday. What a fun time we had and I hope the video gives the feeling. What a sweet wife Mary Lu has been all these years, and she is a great traveling partner too. She loves snorkeling in that wonderful warm Maui water! Surfing, Snorkeling, and Photography - that's what we mostly do in Hawaii. Love it. Thanks sweetie.
On the plane flight home I read in the in flight magazine about the Hawaiian ukelele player Brittni Paiva. Of course I had to check her on Youtube and I absolutely loved her music. If you don't tap your foot listening to the first song on my video you're probably dead. That song is called Lights. The last song is also her and is called Tell you What. Sweet stuff! Also on the video is Bartt Warburton on Baritone Uke playing Yesterday, the great Jake Shimabakura playing his own song called Kelly's Song and Ken Middleton playing Clawhammer Baritone Ukelele I'll Fly Away. All of those music videos are here on Youtube. I love Youtube! Thanks for watching and hope you enjoy it. Henry
Humpback WHALES at Molokini Crater
Off the rim of Reef's end at Molokini Crater in Maui, in the state of Hawaii, I ran into two Humpback Whales while doing a cinematography dive. I was on my first solo trip to Maui and had booked this dive on a whim, and the dive turned out to be phenomenal! I was excited and this was my first encounter with whales. Here is a clip from the footage I shot of these whales during the dive. They made my diving experience at Molokini Crater absolutely phenomenal! It was a once in a lifetime moment and I am here to share it. I am a pretty experienced diver and I would recommend booking a dive at Molokini Crater if you can, the visibility there is amazing!

OAHU | The BEST Hawaiian island??
For years Oahu has been my favourite of the Hawaiian islands. With the impressive hikes, delicious food, friendly locals and countless activities, this is without a doubt my favourite place, not just in the Hawaiian islands, but on the planet.
Just a few of the activities on offer area featured here, activities such as;
Dolphin Excursions, the best operator on Oahu! I absolutely cannot recommend this tour enough. They are a very professional, fun group of people who respect the dolphins and press upon you the importance of being respectful in your wildlife encounter. No chasing, no diving, just an organic experience where the dolphins are free to come and go as they please.
Shark cage diving on the north shore. These guys are also excellent with how they manage your tour. No chumming of the waters, no scare tactics, just lots of information, safety briefings, and an incredible time in the ocean with these apex predators;
Open door helicopter tour with Magnum Helicopters. Doors off is truly the way to go when overflying any of your favourite spots, immersing yourself in the experience, perhaps a little chilly, but will provide the most unforgettable experience. Your pilot has so much information about the history of the island to share, and will point out all of the must see places on island, this is one of the most perfect activities to include early on in your visit to Oahu, get the lay of the land and orientate yourself in your new found paradise;
Do you have questions about events you'd like to do, or places that you see? Drop a comment and I will be happy to help!
Appreciating the beauty of Hawaii I cannot see with my eyes! Blind vision is beautiful!
So many people think you have to have eyesight to enjoy the beauty in this world, but they couldn’t be more wrong! Through my complete blindness in my eyes, I have learned to see so much through my other senses, my minds eye, and through the eyes of my heart. ????
I may be blind, but I have so much vision! As I am videoing the Beautiful Hawaiian landscape behind our condo here in Kona, I am taking in all the beauty in my mind and in my heart that is not seen. Honestly, I love the way I see so much! I am so grateful for my loss of eyesight, it has given me far greater vision, far greater than what physical eyes could ever see!
I encourage you today to close your eyes, and focus on all the beauty that surrounds you. You may be amazed to see/hear/feel/smell, There is so much more to this world than what meets the eye ????
When you focus on all your blessings, a positive mindset and a heart full of joy can make the darkest days a whole lot brighter!
