Suvali Beach, located at a distance of 20 km from Surat, is a black sandy beach popular among locals for picnic.Located amidst industries, it offers a refreshing scenic view.Mostly visited by solitude seekers, the beach is slowly developing into a tourist spot.Currently, there are not many options for food and drinks.

This place is close to the industrial town of Hajira near Surat.Not easily accessible by public transport, this beach is best explored if you have a private vehicle at your disposal.It is relatively less crowded and far from the hustle and bustle of the city.It is not very well developed and does not have all the necessary amenities of a touristy beach, but is definitely a quieter option for romantic excursions

Surat: Three people drowned in sea on Suvali beach, 2 rescued

Three people drowned during the beach festival on Suvali beach near Hazira in Surat. 2 persons were rescued by the divers along with the help of local people, while one person died in the unfortunate incident. The beach festival organised at the Suvali beach attracts heavy crowd every year, these 3 people also allegedly had come to participate in the festival. The 2 rescued persons were rushed to the nearby hospital for treatment. The incident took place on Monday afternoon.
